As a Jew, I’m not the biggest fan of the Crusaders. The history is fascinating, but I have a little bit of apprehension towards massacres and forced conversions. They’re not exactly my cup of tea. Still, I’ve managed to suspend disbelief for this slot, which is precisely what I expect you to do too - Jew or not.
Gameplay
Crusader is a 5-reel, 26-payline video slot powered by software from ELK Studios. Symbols include royal values such as A, K and Q, plus 3 different shields, a dagger and a bible, and the high-payling jewel encrusted goblet. There’s a Crusader Wild symbol, expansion symbol and Scatter too.
Controls are located to the sides of the reels and work as follows: Menu, Coin Value +/-, Spin and Auto Play.

The Wild substitutes for all symbols except the Expansion symbol and the Scatter.
Unique Features
The Wild symbol can land on reels 1 and 5, and will respin and nudge until the reels he is on are full. Two Wilds will trigger a bonus round, during which the expansion symbol will be active. Symbols that land during this round will grow upwards, and the grid will expand to 12 rows and 98 paylines - at which point you’ll get an additional spin.
All paying symbols can appear as stacked symbols, which can align on active paylines and trigger significant wins.
Performance
Crusader might not be my favorite theme, but I can certainly appreciate the medieval beauty of this slot. The graphics are absolutely stellar, and the sound effects will transport you back in time (not the best, in my case). Gameplay is available on mobile and desktop.

The max coin win is 2,500x your stake.
Conclusion
Crusader comes kitted out with stacked symbols, Wilds, respins, a nudge feature, and more. It’s one hell of a good time from start to finish, and a far cry from the real crusades. Either way, this is one slot you definitely don’t want to miss.
