Diamond Plus Football Edition Slot Review

I actually dabbled in a lot of sports. Football⚽, cricket🏏, baseball⚾, and field hockey🏑. A common thread with all these sports for me was that I played on a team, obviously, where I was always on the wing or in some position that required a level of speed.

I hate running😡. Always have.

The other common thread was that we were always given slices of orange. And that also gives away the fact that I only ever tried team sports at a very young age, at the least competitive level.

And it feels like Amusnet Games isn’t trying to compete with other games with their Diamond Plus Football Edition slot.

Gameplay

The title of this game is a little misleading. I was expecting a full-blown football-themed game. However, the 5 reels heavily obscure the background, providing the only hint of its connection to the game.

The Wild symbol is a gold football ball, too, but the high-paying symbols are all fruit!

Another disappointment is that this slot only accepts the euro, US dollar, New Zealand dollar, Norwegian krone, Brazilian real, and the Russian ruble. You can bet between $0.20 and $30, which means the 1,000x multiplier can award as much as $30,000.

To win, there are just 10 paylines to land three or more matching symbols on. The game is rated as having high volatility, so keep a close eye on your bankroll between wins. The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
is set at 96.73%

Features

RE-SPINS

When a Wild symbol appears, it expands to take over the entire reel, and the rest of the reels Re-spin.

JACKPOTS

Above the reels, you’ll see 4 Progressive Jackpot Prizes. To win one, you’ll need the random Jackpot Cards feature to trigger.

This game has 4 Jackpots: clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades. To win, you'll need to pick three matching card suits from 12 facedown cards.

GAMBLE FEATURE

After any win, you can risk your win to double your prize if you can correctly predict the color of the suit on a facedown card.

Performance

I didn’t encounter any bugs or glitches during my playthrough.

Maximum Win

The top prize here is $30,000, which you can win by betting the highest accepted bet of $30 and hitting the best possible multiplier of 1,000x. You can also bet as little as $0.20.

Conclusion

I’m frankly unimpressed by this slot’s features. An Expanding Wild that triggers a Re-spin is not exactly a huge winning opportunity when you still need this high-volatility slot to land matching symbols on either side of the reel with the Wilds.

It doesn’t happen often.

What impresses me are the Progressive JackpotsThese Jackpots will increase in value over time if they’re not won. They’re funded by a small percentage of the player’s bets.

The Jackpot could be linked to a single game on a single casino, or it could apply across a network of games for a specific casino or game studio, or across multiple casinos.
, which can reach astronomical heights. But, if we’re completely honest, the odds of winning one are so stacked against you that it's not worth counting them as a plus.

And frankly, I'm a little annoyed that the developers couldn't weave more of the easiest theme, football, into their game. Fruits? Come on, man, I’m not in the peewee leagues looking forward to my orange slice at halftime.

Volatility RateSlot games can have low, medium, high, or extremely high volatility rates (or a combination thereof).

The less volatile the game, the more often it should pay out, but the lower the amount, the less the payout, as this is in keeping with the risk you’re taking. Volatility rate should be considered in conjunction with a game’s RTP.
