Diamond Rise Slot Review

A three-legged dog walks into a saloon. He’s all decked out with spurs and a six-shooter on his hip, and he’s got an attitude to boot. As he saunters over to the bar, he fixes the bartender with a mean stare and growls: “I’m looking for the man who shot my paw.”

The bars you’ll see on Diamond Rise slot from Playtech aren’t the type where you can water your liver, but they’re good for other things like making money. Check it out.

Gameplay

We’ve got quite the mixed bag when it comes to Diamond Rise slot. Firstly, the RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
is the most dismal thing I’ve seen in a while (it’s 94.95% while the industry standard is 96%), and the action happens across just 3 paylines.

But before you throw in the towel, check out the maximum win: it’s €234,000 which is not only decent, but it’s pretty damn brilliant considering the medium volatility rate.

OK, so we’ve got some positives and negatives. Anything else? The game is only available to fiat players – so, that can be good or bad, depending on which currency you play with.

Looks-wise, it ain’t no oil painting. We’ve got neon signs as symbols on the 3x3-reel grid and not much of a background to speak of.

When viewed on your mobile device in portrait mode, you’ll get a glimpse of the Diamond Rise feature at the top of the screen. When you trigger the feature, it means you don’t go to another screen as the action shifts to the grid at the top.

I’m not convinced this is the best way to display things. Firstly, it means the desktop and mobile experiences are different. Also, things get rather busy on the mobile version because of these 2 grids sharing the same real estate. Things look fine in portrait mode, though.

Features

The WILD symbol appears on reel number 2 and replaces all other symbols other than the Scatter.

The SCATTER is a neon diamond and can appear bearing a 2x, 3x, or 5x multiplier.

DIAMOND RISE FEATURE:

Three simultaneous Scatters in any position will trigger this feature and you’ll get 3 goes. When you land those Scatters, the grid changes to a triangle shape with 15 pegs arranged across 5 levels.

A blue ball (welcome, married dudes) gets dropped from the top of the triangle and bounces off the pegs, and comes to land in one of the receptacles at the bottom.

Each of these receptacles will have a starting multiplier of either 1x, 2x, or 4x but that can increase if one of the triggering Scatters carries its own multiplier. That Scatter multiplier will then be applied to all of the multipliers at the bottom of the triangle grid.

You’ll notice that some of the pegs can be blue or gold, and you can even have multiples of the same type on the triangle grid.

If the blue ball hits a blue peg on the way down, an extra ball will be awarded. If a blue ball hits a golden peg, it’ll turn pink, and all of the multiplier values will be kicked up by 2x each.

If a pink ball hits a golden peg, it’ll turn gold and the multiplier value will be kicked up to 4x. Each round sees you start with the blue ball though, so don’t expect that your luck will carry over.

After all the balls have dropped (mazel tov; you’re a man now!), you’ll be awarded the tally value and the feature ends.

Performance

I had no issues while playing Diamond Rise slot. I made it work through hundreds of spins and it was all good – irrespective of which device or browser I was using.

Maximum Win

Before we get to the max win, check out the betting limits – they’re pretty crazy. You can start betting at only €0.01 (I don’t think I’ve ever seen one this low) but it goes up all the way to €200.

Nail the 1,170x multiplier at €200 and you’ll score the €234,000 top prize.

Conclusion

This game is all about the Diamond Rise feature. Sure, things get boring after having triggered it a few times – and also because the base game offers no distractions – but the upshot is that you can score some serious multipliers.

It wasn’t unusual for me to scoop up a 35x or 38x multiplier during the bonus round and that, my peeps, equals more money – and that’s the name of the game, isn’t it?

fans, and players who like complex games with cool themes won’t like this one, but newbies and players who like to keep things simple – yet profitable – should give this one a shot.
