Diamonds On Fire Slot Review

Who can forget “Diamonds are Forever” belted out by the iconic Shirley Bassey? Well, much as we may deny it, some of those lyrics ring true:
“Diamonds never lie to me,
For when love's gone
They'll luster on.”
After the drama of a breakup, many a divorcee has found comfort in a diamond “Sparkling round my little finger,” because “unlike men, the diamonds linger.” You tell em, Shirley!
Diamonds on Fire is a shimmering, shining video slot brought to you by Amatic. It's designed to glisten with beauty on your P.C, mobile device or tablet. It's got a bit of a 70's vibe to it and feels a bit rough around the edges – but Diamonds on Fire still holds the essence of a jewel's appeal: It's glitzy and might make you a lot richer.

Gameplay

Diamonds on Fire is a medium volatility 5 reel and 50 payline slot. There's a dazzling array of jewels as the standard symbols and two special symbols:

• The wild is a red jewel heart and can substitute for anything except the scatter.

• The scatter is a diamond-studded star.

Up top, you can find Info which includes the Paytable. Down below is Balance, Autostart, Gamble, Lines, Bet and Start.
There's no Turbospin in Diamonds on Fire, but truth be told, I didn't think one was necessary.

Features

After each winning spin in regular play, there's a gamble option. Here you get a chance to wager either half or your entire profits on a 2X card color bet ort a 4X card suit bet.

Maximum Win

The Maximum Win in Diamonds on Fire is 200 000 coins. That can buy some serious bling!

Performance

I wasn't really enamored with the graphics. While they were quite pretty, there seemed to be a crispness that was lacking. The music and sound effects are equally forgettable with synthesized beats and coins clanging.
I tested Diamonds on Fire with a few different platforms and it performed flawlessly on each. Surprisingly, I probably enjoyed it most on a mobile device – the simplicity of the game seems to lend itself to playing on the move.

Conclusion

Clearly a land-based slot that's been adapted for online use, Diamonds on Fire is not a gem. But very often slots have far too many “wow” features and forget the basics. At least Diamonds on Fire provides a pleasant diversion with few hidden surprises. Isn't that just what we want sometimes?
