Double Diamonds Slot Review
Yo, VIP
Let’s kick it
If you know your luminescent rappers, you’ll recognize that these lyrics are the openers for Vanilla Ice’s iconic song, Ice, Ice, Baby which he wrote at the tender age of 16.
Legend has it that the lyrics describe Ice and disc jockey D-Shay doing a run for some illegal substances in South Florida, which ended in a drive-by shooting.
Perhaps almost as famous as that annoying song was Ice’s hairstyle. The dude was so obsessed with it that he named it The Beak.
But love him or hate him, the fact remains that Robert Matthew Van Winkle is alleged to be sitting on a net worth of $12 thanks to a never-ending career as a rapper, actor, record producer, and TV host.
I’m hoping that the only ice I need to achieve fortune (you can keep the fame) is Double Diamonds slot from Amatic. Time to find out, yo!
Gameplay
We have an uninspiring one this time, folks – a fruity with nothing to elevate it from the masses, in terms of design or theme. You get a red background, the usual sound effects, and diamonds, watermelons, lemons and oranges, cherries, plums and blueberries on the reels.
The upside is that Double Diamonds slot lends itself well to mobile play. You’ll be able to see what’s going on at a glance, and while the symbols aren’t hyper-realistic, they are easy to discern.
Below the classic 5x3-reel grid, you’ll see that there are 10 paylines, and there’s also a tab that lets you know how much your current bet is (which is helpful for newbies who might not appreciate that a €1 across 10 paylines is €10).
This medium to high volatility game only offers €10,000 as the top prize, but it does accept all forms of fiat other than the Japanese yen and Australian dollar, as well as Bitcoin and Litecoin.
Landing 5 Wilds on a winning payline is what you want to shoot for, as it’ll bring in the max multiplier of 1,000x. Landing 5 Scatters anywhere, and simultaneously, gets you 500x, which ain’t shabby either.
The diamond Wild replaces all symbols other than Scatters and doubles the prize money you’ll take home.
Features
There are no features to speak of. All ya get are the Multiplying Wilds and the Scatters we chatted about earlier.
Performance
Double Diamonds slot supports Android and Apple operating systems, as well as all browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and that old chestnut Internet Explorer). It wasn’t a surprise then that my testing was totally error-free.
Maximum Win
Ten grand (€10,000) is what you’ll get if you scoop the 1,000x multiplier at the max bet of – you guessed it – €10 (but you can start betting from a mere €0.10).
Conclusion
It’s tough to recommend a game with no features, no Free Spins, and a max win that isn’t in keeping with its volatility rate. I’d advise you to look at other options if you’re into fruit slot.
