Dragon's Bonanza Slot Review

Many years ago, one of my friends had this idea of getting a massive dragon tattoo on his back after watching the movie Red Dragon. 🐉 He envisioned a fierce, mythical creature, something that would make him look like a warrior.

As I’m sure you guessed, his version ended up looking more like a red lizard with lopsided wings. The claws were oddly shaped, and the fire 🔥 it was supposed to be breathing was pink. The whole thing looked ridiculous.

The poor guy had planned to show it off at the beach 🏖️ that summer, thinking it would be a masterpiece. Instead, he spent most of the summer indoors, or at least with his t-shirt on. Actually, I don’t even think he made it to the beach once the entire summer.

For a while, he tried to play it off as an “artistic interpretation,” but we all knew the result was less Red Dragon and more Pink Lizard. Trust me, the rest of us thought it was hilarious. 🤣

Let’s take a look at Dragon's Bonanza Slot from Belatra Games. 🎰

Gameplay

A dragon’s lair can’t be a fun place for humans but here we are. The 6-reel, 5-row grid is flanked by torches on either side. You can’t get a clear view of the dragon, but you can spot it lurking in the background.

The visuals are nice, and some of the high-paying symbols you’ll come across are a crown, an eye, a claw, an egg, and a purple gem, all of them connected to the dragon. The blinking eye is a nice touch.

The star symbol in the bottom left corner is the Buy Bonus button. I’ll explain what’s behind it in the Features section below. Also, there are no paylines; wins pay anywhere.

The stats behind the game are: a 96.02% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
, a medium volatility rate, 5,000x max multiplier, and a $250,000 max win.

Features

FREE SPINS

To trigger 10 Free Spins, you’ll need 4 or more Scatters to hit the reels. You can re-trigger the feature and get an additional 5 spins by landing 3 or more Scatters.

Multipliers

When you’re in Free Spins mode, random multipliers can appear. Possible multiplier values are: 2x, 5x, 8x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 50x, or 100x.

BUY BONUS

The Buy Bonus offers three entry points, with higher prices increasing your odds of landing bigger wins.

  • 4 Scatters - 50x
  • 5 Scatters - 100x
  • 6 Scatters - 250x

Performance

Gameplay, features, and everything else worked perfectly across the board.

Max Win

Players can bet anywhere from $0.20 to $50. To pocket the $250,000 max win, you’ll need to hit the 5,000x max multiplier on a full $50 bet.

Conclusion

The game delivers a straightforward but solid mix of Free Spins and multipliers, wrapped in a classic dragon-lair theme. The hit rate in the base game is about once every 3–4 spins (≈26–30%), which feels consistent with its medium volatility setting.

Free Spins are obviously a bit more shy and only trigger around once every 170–190 spins on average, but when they do, the random multipliers (up to 100x) can turn the feature into a real bankroll booster.

In terms of the Buy Bonus, it’s a mixed bag. The 50x option for 4 Scatters feels fair for players who don’t want to grind, but the 100x and especially the 250x tiers carry a much higher risk unless you’re specifically chasing the biggest wins.

Given the medium volatility, the natural progression to Free Spins might be the smarter long-term play.

When stacked against other dragon-themed slots like Dragon Whisperer (GameArt), or Dragons Clusterbuster (Red Tiger), Belatra’s version is leaner, with fewer moving parts, no complex mechanics, but still satisfying for players who enjoy a clean Free Spins + multiplier setup.

The $250,000 max win backed by a 5,000x multiplier gives it enough firepower to appeal to both casual players and those looking for medium-risk, medium-reward action.
