Emperors Wealth Slot Review

Imagine being a trusted advisor to the Emperor in Ancient China – your influence immense and your wealth vast. All goods pass through your sticky fingers, and an audience with the Emperor needs to be approved by you. Well during my research, I came across something that made all this sound a bit less appealing: The most trusted advisors to the Emperors were eunuchs! That's right – they had the unkindest cut of all, or as my mother in law called it when the dog got neutered – having your “pockets picked…”
Yeah – well it was a rarity you say? Umm...no. In the Ming Dynasty, it even became a movement, with over 70 000 Eunichs living in the Forbidden City in Beijing. That's 140 000 "pockets picked"!
OK, now that I've obliterated any romantic appeal this slot may have for you, let's check it out.
Emperors Wealth is a video slot created by GameArt in which you are immersed in an undeniably happy Emperor's court in ancient China. If this were a modern themed slot, I would say that all the characters are on Prozac because all have beaming smiles. But, that's a good thing, because smiles are contagious and I couldn't help joining them. Life was good – I had all my bits and pieces, and I had a chance to win!

Gameplay

5 reels and 9 paylines are joined by a multitude of happy faces and Chinese symbols. Firstly the people - The Emperor, his advisor (why do YOU of all people look so glad buddy?), a boy with an unfortunate haircut and a young girl. The objects are a drum, firecrackers, gold coin, gold Chinese emblem, blue Chinese emblem and a parade dragon. The gold Chinese emblem is the main wild, replacing all except the scatter, which happens to be the parade dragon. The grey emblem is the secondary wild, replacing all except the primary wild and scatter,
The controls are straightforward: Game Settings, Paytable, Bet Per Line, Autoplay, Spin, Total Bet, Balance and Win Amount. On either side of the slot are a display of the winning paylines.

Features

There's the possibility of plenty of Free Spins: 3 scatters earns you 10 Free Spins, 4 earns 20, and 5 earns an incredible 50 Free Spins!
A Gamble function gives you the opportunity for a basic red/black double or nothing bet after each winning spin. You can turn off this function in the Game Settings.

Unique Features

At the beginning of every Free Spin, 1 or more reels are randomly chosen to be covered entirely by the gold emblem. Additional gold emblems can appear on other reels and could end up covering the entire screen. Expanding wilds are not limited to the Free Spins and are present in normal game mode too!

Performance

The graphics are appealing and there are occasional short bursts of animation after a win. The peppy music only plays sporadically, which I liked. (It's nice not to be wondering whether to mute it continually) There were no issues on any platform we tested – solid performance all round.

Conclusion

If you're still here after my opening paragraph, then I'm pretty darn sure you're gonna try this slot out. That would be a wise decision – it'll brighten your day and hopefully your bank balance. I've got a deep love for Free Spins, and as such, this slot is now one of my favorites. I'm pretty sure you'll feel the same way about Emperors Wealth very soon. So turn that frown upside down and join in the fun!
