The Finnegan’s Formula Slot Review
I love St. Patrick’s Day, it’s freaking fantastic, everything is green and it’s acceptable to start drinking at 10 am. Throughout college and into my early twenties my friends and I would always find the best St.Paddys days parties and make out with as many guys who had dyed their entire bodies green as possible. It was like a weird drinking game. Sadly my run came to an end when i got sick from way too much green beer, needless to say i covered the floors and walls with the same awesome hue in the days that followed, i think if my mum could have grounded me for life she would have. But there is truly nothing like the luck of the Irish and that reigns supreme in The Finnegan’s Formula. Kalamba Games gives us another fantastic creation.
Game Play
Finnegan’s Formula is a 5x4 reel, 50 payline video slot by Kalamba.
Finnegan’s Formula slot has a variety of basic and bonus symbols. This makes for a fun and entertaining game. The base symbols are split into low and high-tier. All payouts listed are based on the total bet.
The low-tier icons represent different playing cards. They are the 9, 10, jack, queen, king, and ace. The 9 pays if you get 2 symbols at 0.06x, whereas the others only payout for 3 or more. The 10, jack, and queen all have a 1.5x multiplier for 5 symbols. Next, the king and ace give a 1.8x multiplier for 5 symbols.
The higher-tier symbols are different Irish icons - a pipe, a tankard, Finnegan’s hat, a lucky horseshoe, and a clover. The pipe and tankard pay 2.5x for 5 symbols, whilst the hat and horseshoe pay 3x. Finally, the clover is the top-paying base symbol at 5x for 5 symbols.
There is also a wild symbol and a bonus symbol. The wild symbol is Finnegan and can appear on any reel. It also substitutes for all other icons except the bonus symbol. The bonus symbol triggers the free spins, and it also has a maximum payout of 10x for 5 symbols. More info about the bonus icon is detailed below.
Features
The best Finnegan’s Formula bonus feature is the free spins. However, we must discuss the K-CASH feature first. At the top of each reel, there is a value. This is the K-CASH value. During spins, you can get K-CASH symbols that have a value. This value is added to the value at the top of the reels.
If a K-CASH reset symbol appears, the height of the reel is reset to 4, and the player is awarded the cash value that is built up in the total at the top of the reel! The K-CASH symbol is also responsible for randomly determining if the row height increases or not.
Now onto the Finnegan’s Formula free spins! You are awarded 3 initial free spins if you get 3 or more bonus symbols. If you get K-CASH symbols during the bonus spins, this resets the current number of remaining bonus spins to 3!
Also, at the end of the free spins, you are automatically awarded any built-up K-CASH bonus! The game also has a Hyper Bonus feature where you can buy the free spins instantly.
