Fireworks Megaways Slot Review
South Africa is a wild place and its people are highly strung – which isn’t surprising given the state of that country – so any loud bang will have motherf*****s grabbing guns and drawing down on anyone in sight. 💥
For that reason, I tended to stay well away from public spaces whenever fireworks were scheduled. Like seriously; one kid throwing a firecracker and everybody in the vicinity would be transformed into Swiss cheese. 🧀
So, if you thought fireworks were anxiety-provoking for your fur babies, spare a thought for the people of South Africa! 🎆🧨
But it’s not all bad – at least, I hope it isn’t – because Fireworks Megaways slot from BigTimeGaming could change your perspective on fireworks forever. 💰
Gameplay
There definitely are fireworks on the grid of Fireworks Megaways slot, and the 117,649 winning ways and the extra, horizontal reel at the bottom of the reels 2 to 5 confirm the second part of the title.
Having said that, if you have some knowledge about online slots, you’ll know that Big Time Gaming is the creator of Megaways, so that particular fact was never in question.
What’s maybe a bit strange is the setting for the game – it’s someone’s backyard. Clearly, a kick-ass party is about to happen. Hide your fur babies!
I like the clean design, with all of the controls relegated to the screen's right-hand side. The ticket is your Buy Bonus (more on that below), and the hamburger menu is where you’ll find info on the game.
Winning symbols – other than Scatters – will be removed, and the empty positions filled by new symbols. This CascadeOtherwise known as a Tumble, Avalanche, or whatever a studio sees fit to name it. The idea is the same, though; winning symbols get removed, and new ones take their place. This action could result in additional wins, in which case the action continues. or Tumble feature will continue for as long as you score wins.
During these Cascades, 1 of the 4 extra reels will be selected. Landing a Firework on these highlighted positions means some kind of modifier action:
- Purple Fireworks: All symbols above transform into Wilds
- Red Fireworks: Up to 4 extra Wilds are added to the middle 4 reels
- Blue Fireworks: Wilds have a random multiplier up to 25x
- Green Fireworks: These will transform into Wilds
Lastly, let’s dig into the game’s stats before we move on to the Features:
- RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.: 96.44% - Max Multiplier: 150,335x
- Max Win: $300,670
- Volatility RateSlot games can have low, medium, high, or extremely high volatility rates (or a combination thereof).
The less volatile the game, the more often it should pay out, but the lower the amount, the less the payout, as this is in keeping with the risk you’re taking. Volatility rate should be considered in conjunction with a game’s RTP.: High - Prohibited Currencies: No Australian dollar or Dogecoin
Features
FREE SPINS:
Hitting a mere 2 or more Scatters awards 12 Free Spins – how nice is that? And you’ll be awarded 4 spins for each Scatter you land beyond the second one! Scatters land on reels 1 and 6 only.
The active multiplier for the round is 1x and will increase by 1x for each Firework Wild. During Free Spins and any Cascades that happen during the round, 2 of the 4 extra reel positions are randomly selected to be highlighted.
The upshot is that both positions can trigger the Fireworks Wild feature.
WIN EXCHANGE:
Any time you win an amount that’s 100x your bet or more, you can exchange this winning for 12 Free Spins.
Win between 25x and 100x for a chance to gamble your winnings in exchange for 12 Free Spins.
BUY BONUS:
You can pay 100x your bet for 12 Free Spins at any time.
Performance
I tested Fireworks Megaways slot on all of my devices and browsers, and besides timing out quickly if you don’t pay it attention, everything else went smoothly.
Maximum Win
You said what? I’m still rubbing my eyes and double-checking these stats but we have it in black and white: a max multiplier of 150,335x and a top payout of $300,670. Oh. My. Greatness.
Betting starts at $0.20 and ends at only $2, so it means pretty much every player can put themselves in line for that max win! 🎉🥳🍾
Conclusion
Whew, where to begin? This game has some eye-watering numbers that boggle the mind: up to 117,649 ways to win, a 150,335x multiplier, and a $300,670 potential payout. There are precious few games that can compete with these stats!
Fireworks Megaways slot is very similar to Rasputin Megaways slot. That one offers almost 3 million paylines, though, but its multiplier is 67,300x and the max win tops out at $201,990.
The Rasputin game offers a choice between 7 Free Spins with Extending Reels, or 10 Spins with an unlimited Win Multiplier. Both games have the Win Exchange option.
It’ll be a tough choice in terms of which of these to choose, but when it comes to Megaways, no one does it better than the OG studio, Big Time Gaming so you really can’t go wrong.
