Flip n’ Spin Review
I’ve never been a particularly agile person. I was never a bouncing baby boy👶; I was more like a ⚓lead ball🎈.
Thus, while every other child was frolicking and spinning aimlessly, I was seated and reading a book📖 with my feet elevated.
But now, as a fully grown adult, no longer! Now, I’m flipping a coin🪙 and spinning a wheel🛞 in 1x2 Gaming’s first game, Flip n’ Spin, and my feet are still up! Winning! Not every time, but it’s fun nonetheless.
Gameplay
If you’re looking for a completely unique casino game, Flip n’ Spin is certainly that. This is as simple a casino game as you can possibly get from a brand new developer, AdLunam, and was brought to us by 1x2gaming.
The game's whole premise is in the title. You pick which side a coin will land on, either on an astronaut helmet silhouette or a star, when it’s flipped. If you guess correctly, you get a spin on a wheel that will award 0.5x, 1x, 2x, or 4x your bet or a Re-spin.
Landing on a Re-spin segment, it will transform into a 20x or higher segment before the wheel Re-spins.
This is basically something you would do with a mate in a bar to decide who will pay for the next round, and it is a cheesy game show where you spin a wheel to win a prize.
The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. here is 97%, and the nature of the game lends itself to a low-volatility game.
You can bet as little as $0.10 or as much as $25 per coin flip. The best multiplier you can get on the wheel is 1,000x, which can lead to this game’s top prize of $25,000, which is a tasty payday if all you did was successfully guess Heads or Tails and spin a wheel.
The coin animation is serviceable, but the wheel spins painfully slowly before it reaches a blinding speed, then slows down torturously to a breath-holding stop.
That really is as straightforward as this game gets and is open to any player. Regrettably, this game does not accept crypto currencies, which may exclude certain players. You can play with fiat currencies, with the exception of the Japanese yen.
Features
There are no features to speak of in Flip n’ Spin.
Performance
With so little going on, there is very little to go wrong. I tested Flip n’ Spin on my Windows laptop and Android phone, and it played perfectly.
Maximum Win
If you can afford to bet $25 per coin flip and uncover the 1,000x multiplier on the wheel, you can win the prize limit of $25,000. Or, for fun, you can bet as little as $0.10.
Conclusion
If you’re bored of slots or other more conventional online versions of casino games, this is certainly different. And it certainly feels like it was designed for mobile play, with little to no graphic details.
I’m a fan of this for just how novel it is, but the game lacks any real personality or charm. Which, frankly, is so lacking you can say it doesn’t have any. The space helmet as heads is cute, but it could have been taken so much further with just a smidge of creativity.
It doesn’t help that half the game screen is just a black-and-white board showing the results of your previous coin flips and how much you won on the wheel.
This is, however, AdLunam’s very first game that I’ve encountered, or anyone for that matter. They are brand new to the scene. I hope they treat this as their prototype and use coin flip and wheel spin games that are as entertaining as they are simple.
With mechanics this easy to understand, I’d say every player, no matter their tastes or experience, can get a kick of Flip n’ Spin. Let’s show this new developer some love and see what they can cook up in the future.
