Flip Royale Slot Review

It’s getting to the point in my slot reviewing, where I’m struggling to find things to say. Like, it’s alright when there’s a theme to work with, but when a slot is just kind of generically “casino” themed, then I’m a little stumped.

So for the sake of this intro, I’m going to go with the infomercial angle. You know, the ads that were on TV during the day (that you had to sit through instead of cartoons when you were home sick from school).

Here goes.

Do you love casinos? Do you love money? Well have we got the game for you!

Flip Royale slot from Quickspin is all about the moolah! Cash, dollars, shekels – you name it.

And for just €0.10 to €100 a spin this could be all yours. Now that’s a steal! So don’t hesitate, spin and watch as the wins roll in!

How’d I do?

Gameplay

As I mentioned, Flip Royale slot is pretty generically money/casino-themed. There’s not much going on here in terms of looks, other than a ton of miscellaneous coins on the reels, with what looks like barstools in the background (oh, so we’re going with “seedy casino” then).

It doesn’t look bad, just a little bland, which actually seems to suit the overall vibe of the slot (just you wait). It’s available on mobile and desktop, but honestly there’s very little difference between the gameplay – so choose the device that works best for you.

The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
sits at a respectable 96.2%, and it’s accompanied by the medium volatility rate – all fine there. However, I was pretty disappointed in the maximum win, which is just €43,300. Yikes.

Furthermore, crypto players are going to have to sit this one out. Yep, that’s right, Flip Royale slot only takes fiat currencies.

Features

COIN FLIP

The Coin Flip feature is triggered when one or more of the reels has all three positions filled with the Coin symbol. When this happens, each of the three visible Coins will generate an additional Coin symbol, which will land on the reels in a random position.

If more than one Coin symbol triggers the feature, then the symbols that generate will be Wild. If multiple reels are filled by Coins or Wilds, they’ll also trigger extra symbols.

FREE SPINS

If 3, 4, or 5 Bonus Scatter symbols land on the reels, you’ll trigger 6, 10, or 20 Free Spins respectively. During Free Spins, the Coin Flip symbol is guaranteed to occur on every single spin.

Other than that, it’s a very straightforward Free Spins round. What you see, is what you get.

WILD

The Wild substitutes for all symbols except the Bonus Scatter.

Performance

Flip Royale slot is super simple, so it’s hardly a surprise that it worked well on both of my devices. I put it through a few hundred spins on my mobile and desktop, and it went smoothly. So, no complaints there.

It’ll also run on any browser, including Chrome, Safari, and Firefox (the usual suspects).

Maximum Win

Yeah, this maximum win is not particularly impressive. At just €43,300, it’s not the worst I’ve seen, but it’s definitely not going to capture the hearts of the high rollers.

Conclusion

Listen, Flip Royale slot is just not very entertaining. I mean, they may as well have just made it “slot” themed and called it a day.

And it’s not just the theme. The generic Free Spins round, the Coin Flip (whatever that means) feature, and low maximum win, all contribute to a gameplay experience that is just a little underwhelming.

Not to rain on anybody’s parade though. I’m sure there are newbies out there who will find Flip Royale slot a great way to ease into online gambling, but it’s just not for me.
