Friday in Vegas Slot Review

Looks can be deceiving. There are loads of examples in the animal and insect kingdom, as well as within Homo Sapiens, of creatures that appear to be one thing but are actually something else. 🙀

Pick up a stunner in Bangkok, and you’ll find out that the reason she’s so skilled is because of a home-team advantage. 🐓 That type of discovery is a surefire way to experience the trauma that deception often brings. 😭

Sin City is all about the façade. It dazzles you with bright lights and implants (not that I’m disparaging those blessed globes), only to leave you feeling disappointed and violated. 😤 Although I must admit that a little violation from time to time can be a lot of fun. 😈

Anyhoo. Will that be the case with Friday in Vegas slot from Onlyplay? There’s only one way to find out.

Gameplay

Neon lights, slot machines spewing money, and dancers in skimpy outfits – that’s how I think of Las Vegas. And, as it so happens, today is Friday. It must be a sign! 🪧👈

Onlyplay has created a stunning-looking game that, wouldn’t you know it, has dancers, neon signs, rock stars, diamonds, and fruit on the reels.

The design looks simply incredible on a mobile phone in any orientation. Despite some of the buttons being very small, I still found them painless to use.

However, flip your phone to landscape mode on an iPhone and you’ll see that the Info button and LAST WIN are obscured by a white line running through them. The Info button is still clickable, but it’s not ideal.

Friday in Vegas slot offers 5 paylines across this 3x3-reel grid and an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
of 95.16%
. The max multiplier is okay – at 2,530x – but the $25,300 top payout is meager and not in keeping with the medium volatility rate.

Features

FREE SPINS:

Hit 3 Scatters (these take the form of slot machines) simultaneously and you’ll trigger the Free Spins round with 10 spins. But don’t expect something cool or unique to happen; all you get are the spins.

STATIC JACKPOT:

Friday in Vegas slot offers 3 Jackpots: the Mini pays 25x, the Major pays 100x, and the Grand Jackpot pays 1,000x. You’ll be paid the Jackpots whenever you land 7 of the respective Jackpot symbols on the reels.

Performance

I had no performance-related issues while playing Friday in Vegas slot. But that’s probably because I popped a Viagra before I got stuck in. Kidding! Or am I? 🤔

Maximum Win

You won’t need to bet the farm to be in the running for the (disappointing) $25,300 top payout; all that’s required is a $10 stake per spin. Or you could downgrade to as little as $0.50.

The largest multiplier this game offers is 2,530x.

Conclusion

I had such high hopes for Friday in Vegas slot after seeing the glorious design, but I was disappointed. It wasn’t the dearth of features that got to me, because I accept that some players prefer a chilled experience and aren’t motivated by non-stop action.

It’s the mismatch between the top payout and the volatility rate that gets my goat. Twenty-five grand is an amount I’d expect to see offered by a game with low volatility. But I guess that might not matter to some of y’all.

So here’s where I put a positive spin on things: if you like your games relaxed, easy on the eye, and don’t care that the Jackpot round and Free Spins have limited things to offer, then Friday in Vegas slot might be precisely what you’re looking for.

But be warned: it took me an inordinate amount of time to trigger the Free Spins round – never mind clinching a Jackpot – so I found the base game to be mind-numbingly banal.
