Genie’s Link&Win 4Tune Slot Review

When it comes to unique names, punk bands tend to have captured the market. There were the Nervous Eaters (although they debuted as “Rhythm Ass**les”), Lumpy and the Dumpsters, Peter and the Test Tube Babies, and my all-time favorite, The 4-Skins. 🤣

The name was derived from the fact that, at some point, the East End of London members were all skinheads rather than the fact that they were all… never mind. 🙊

Genie’s Link&Win 4Tune slot from Quickfire makes use of 4 grids – hopefully, that won’t leave you feeling like a d*ck. 🍌

Gameplay

Magic carpets, hats adorned with rubies, swords, and curly-toed shoes adorn the reels of Genie’s Link&Win 4Tune slot. To the left of the 5-reel grid is the genie, and it seems we’re hanging out in Aladdin’s cave from the look of things.

To the left of the screen are the 4 Jackpots: the Mini pays 20x your bet, the Minor pays 100x, the Major pays 1,000x, and the Grand Jackpot pays 5,000x your bet. As you might have guessed, you can win these during the Link&Win round.

LINK&WIN FEATURE:

You’ll need 6 or more Palace Coins to trigger this round, which is played out across 4 separate grids. You’ll start on Grid 1 (bottom left), which has all of the triggering symbols, and you’ll unlock subsequent grids by landing Coins.

  • Unlocking Grid 2 takes 8 Coins
  • Unlocking Grid 3 takes 20 Coins
  • Unlocking Grid 4 takes 36 Coins

The round begins with 3 re-spins – the spin counter resets when you land new Coins – and only Coins and blank tiles appear on the grid.

Coins can reveal either a multiplier prize or the Mini, Minor, or Major Jackpot – in the latter case, you’ll be awarded their respective Jackpot prize.

Fill all the positions on the 1st grid with Coins and you’ll win the Grand Jackpot. As for the multipliers, these could have values of 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, or 15x your bet.

ENHANCED LINK&WIN FEATURE:

This feature starts the same way; you’ll need 6 Coins to initiate it. Now, the triggering Coins are placed in the same position across all 4 grids, meaning all the grids are active from the get-go.

Everything else about the feature is the same as the non-enhanced version.

BONUS PICK:

Whenever a Coin or Scatter symbol lands, the Genie’s Lamp at the bottom of the reels collects it. The Bonus Pick can trigger when there are 1 to 5 Palace Coin symbols or 1 or 2 Scatters on the grid and you can be awarded one of the following:

Swapping between devices and browsers did nothing to unsettle Genie’s Link&Win 4Tune slot.

Conclusion

Genie’s Link&Win 4Tune slot is a reskin of Dragon’s Loot Link&Win slot. Other than the theme, the two games are identical, so if you liked the OG version, you’ll probably enjoy the latest version (or you’ll hate them both).

Games that work across multiple grids is definitely a polarizing thing – some players love them, others not so much.

I’m generally not a fan but admittedly, I quite enjoyed Genie’s Link&Win 4Tune slot. I’m not sure if it was the fact that I haven’t played a multi-grid game in a while, or if it has something to do with how this particular game has been crafted. 🤷‍♂️

What I also liked was the ability to choose a grid in Free Spins, and the cost of the Buy Bonus options – these were probably the game’s standout features.
