Gold Express Slot Review
I like to make up stories to accompany my games when the studio hasn’t done so. In the case of Gold Express slot from 3Oaks, I’ve got enough to work with to come up with something pretty interesting. 🤔💭
If I look at the character symbols – a mustachioed dude with salt-and-pepper hair, a raven-haired babe, an old guy with impressive facial fluff, a young blonde babe, and a busboy – I’m imagining all of these peeps are travelling on a luxury train. 🚂
The first two are married, the old guy is the initial gent’s business tycoon father, and the blonde is the sister of the raven-haired one. As for the busboy, he has the kind of smirk on his face that makes me think he’s been going above and beyond his duties! How diligent. 😈
Gameplay
The action plays out across a 5-reel by 4-row grid, with 20 paylines and an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. of 95.64%. The volatility rate is medium, the max multiplier is 2,226x, and the max win is $106,848. You won’t be able to play with crypto, but all forms of fiat are good to go.
The Wild symbol replaces anything that’s not a Scatter or Bonus symbol. Wins that come from Scatters (the train) are paid independently of those you score on a payline.
The Bonus symbol is a gold disc, and it only pays during the Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too). game. Whenever these symbols drop, they do so with a cash value.
Speaking of which, you can win the customary Jackpots in the Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too)., and these are as follows: the Mini pays 20x, the Minor pays 50x, the Major pays 150x, and the Grand Jackpot pays 2,000x your bet.
Features
BOOST FEATURE:
This feature initiates when you simultaneously land a Bonus symbol plus a Boost symbol (a pink piggy bank). This could happen at any stage, so it’s not just limited to the base game. Now, all Bonus symbols are summed up and added to any line wins.
FREE SPINS WITH POWER WILDS:
Hitting 3 Scatters awards 8 Free Spins, with an additional 3 Scatters re-triggering those spins. It’s possible to land Power Wilds in the feature, and these multiply any wins they’re a part of. If more than one Power Wild is part of a win, their multipliers will be multiplied.
HOLD AND WIN:
Landing a minimum of 6 Bonus symbols triggers this game. You get the usual 3 re-spins, blah blah, and you play until you run out of spins or fill all grid positions (in the latter case, you win the Grand Jackpot).
When the feature ends, the values of all Bonus symbols are summed up and awarded. If any Mini, Minor, or Major Jackpot symbols hit, you’ll be paid their corresponding prize.
Performance
I tested this game on my various devices and tried two browsers (Safari and Chrome), and everything went smoothly.
Maximum Win
Betting starts at $0.20 and is capped at $48. The max multiplier is 2,226x, and the max win is $106,848.
Conclusion
Free Spins and Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too). games are a dime a dozen, but at least 3 Oaks has thrown in some Power Wilds and a Boost feature to help spice things up. Are the results incredible? No, but they’ll do.
I would’ve preferred the inclusion of at least an Ante BetAn Ante Bet is an option that costs a percentage of your bet but increases your chances of landing triggering symbols that initiate a feature., but preferably a Buy Bonus, but hey, it is what it is. Gold Express slot is an easy-going game that newbies can sink their teeth into, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
A similar type of game from the studio is Coin Volcano slot. It has a Volcano Multiplier, Jackpots, and a Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too). game, but there’s a Buy Bonus for those of us who prefer not to wait. It has a 2,194x multiplier, a $131,640 max win, but it’s highly volatile.
