Golf Champion Review
One of my buddies once decided to impress his new date by taking her golfing for the first time. He’d talked up his skills the whole week, saying things like, “I basically live on the course,” and “People always ask if I used to play college golf.” (He didn’t.) 🤥
So they get to the driving range, and of course, he picks the stall right in the center — the most visible one. He grabs his driver, gives it a few flashy twirls, lines up with dramatic focus… and completely shanks the ball. 🤦
He tried to laugh it off, and blame the clubs.
Second swing - shanks it again, before finally getting off a decent third shot.
Then his date steps up… and rips one straight down the middle. Turns out she actually did play college golf. 🤣My buddy was so busy trying to impress her, he never even thought to ask if she could play.
There was no second date, but you better believe we still bring it up every time golf is mentioned. 🏌️
It doesn't matter if you’ve never touched a golf club — you can still come out a winner in Golf Champion by Gamingcorps. One click of a button could land you a pile of cash. If only real golf were this easy. 🤑
Gameplay
Golf lovers, your time has finally come!
There’s a well-known driving range at Chelsea Piers in New York, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Gaming Corps drew some inspiration from it. To make the connection a little less obvious, this virtual version overlooks the Las Vegas Strip instead.
With Sin City’s neon lights in the background and the familiar green mat up front, the lighting feels surprisingly realistic. Just like a real driving range, it’s surrounded by tall nets to keep the balls from flying into who-knows-where.
There are 6 circular targets laid out across the range, each with its own color corresponding to a risk level — clearly shown on the right-hand side beneath the spin button.
Your challenge is to pick a target, click it, and hope your ball lands dead center.
As always, the higher the risk, the higher the reward.
- Green – Pays 1.10x (Low Risk)
- Yellow – Pays 1.50x (Medium Risk)
- Orange – Pays 2.00x (High Risk)
- Purple – Pays 5.00x (Very High Risk)
- Red – Pays 25x (Extreme Risk)
If your shot hits the target, you can take another swing for an even bigger win — or cash out your current winnings at any time.
Since this is an instant win game, there are no paylines to worry about — just aim, click, and hope for the best!
The game is built around the following stats: a 97% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate., a variable volatility rate, a 1,000x max multiplier, and a $200,000 max win.
Features
PERFECT SHOT
After a successful shot, there’s a chance you can be awarded a bonus shot. The bonus shot is free of any risk. This time there are only two targets, both of them offering an equal chance of landing the reward.
If you hit the target, you’ll win a 3x multiplier. If you miss, you’ll go back to the main game and can continue as normal.
RANDOM SHOT
The icon with the intertwining arrows represents the Random Shot button. When you click it, you'll take a shot at a randomly selected target.
Performance
The game worked perfectly and there were no problems at all.
Max Win
The max multiplier is 1,000x, meaning you’ll need to tie it to a $200 bet to take home the $200,000 max win. If you prefer smaller bets, you can go as low as $0.20.
Conclusion
I’m not saying you need to be a fan of golf to enjoy this game, but it definitely helps. It’s straightforward and quite realistic, and like most similar games, it can be surprisingly addictive.
While the wins might not knock your socks off, it’s a fun change of pace from the usual spinning reels.
Another fun sports game is Penalty Shoot Out by Evoplay. Taking penalty shots while raking in the cash? If you’re successful, you might even be able to call yourself a professional player.
