Grace of Cleopatra Buy Bonus Slot Review
Legend has it that Cleopatra was smuggled in a rolled-up carpet to meet with Julius Caesar, but the Greek writer Plutarch says she arrived in a bedding sack 🛏️.
That's a bold first impression.
Cleo's brother shared the throne and had all the palace guards 💂 on his side, keeping her and Julie apart 🏛️. She slipped past them into Julie's room, and Caesar backed her for the throne. Which is not a euphemism.
Grace of Cleopatra Buy Bonus slot from Amusnet Games skips the line the same way, with a Buy Bonus button that drops you straight into the Free Spins round.
Gameplay
The reels sit on black backgrounds in thin gold frames, in front of a sunset sky over water with sailboats, and 4 jackpot meters run across the top of the screen. It's a nicer view than my apartment window, I'll give the game that.
The game has a 5x3 grid with 10 paylines, and wins pay from left to right. The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. is 96.23% and the volatility is medium/high.
The max multiplier is 10,031x and the max win is $200,620, with bets from $0.10 to $20. The slot takes fiat currencies only, except for the Japanese yen.
There are 4 progressive jackpots above the reels, one per card suit: Club, Diamond, Heart, and Spade, from lowest to highest.
The 2 character symbols top the paytable at 500x and 200x for 5-of-a-kind, with the Scarab and Cat symbols next at 75x each. That's a steep drop after the top 2, so the characters do the heavy lifting.
The A and K symbols pay 15x for 5-of-a-kind, and the Q, J, and 10 symbols pay 10x each, which is filler money at best.
The Wild/Scatter symbol does double duty. The symbol replaces all other symbols. If a win is made up of only Wild symbols it pays the same as the top-paying character symbol.
It also pays 2x, 20x, and 200x for 3, 4, and 5 symbols landing anywhere on the grid and triggers Free Spins.
Features
FREE SPINS:
Landing 3 or more Scatters anywhere on the grid awards 10 Free Spins, and during the feature, landing 3 or more Scatters grants 10 more Free Spins.
Special Expanding Symbol:
At the start of the feature, one of the pay symbols is randomly picked to be the special expanding symbol, that covers the reel and pays in any position on the lines played.
The Wild/Scatter symbol doesn't stand in for the special symbol.
BUY BONUS:
The Buy Bonus costs 90x and starts the Free Spins round with a guaranteed 3 or more Scatter symbols.
JACKPOT CARDS:
The Jackpot Cards feature can trigger randomly after any spin, and if the feature triggers, 1 of the 4 jackpots is guaranteed to be won.
A field of 12 face-down cards comes up and you pick cards, flipping them over to reveal the face, and when 3 matching suits appear, you win the corresponding prize.
GAMBLE:
After a win, except a Jackpot win, you can choose to gamble it to double it by predicting if a face-down card is red or black. A wrong guess loses the win and ends the feature.
Performance
The slot ran the base game and a full Free Spins round for me without a single hitch.
Maximum Win
Land the max multiplier of 10,031x at the top bet of $20 and the max win of $200,620 is yours.
The smallest bet you can place is $0.10.
Conclusion
The money in the game comes from Free Spins and whichever symbol gets picked.
By my own arithmetic, the top character symbol expanding on all 5 reels would pay on all 10 lines for 5,000x per spin, so 2 spins like that land at about 10,000x, right next to the max multiplier.
Needing the best symbol picked and expanded on every reel makes the max win a lottery ticket, so I wouldn't build a session around chasing it.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. points to longer sessions, and the max multiplier matches the medium/high volatility, which you don't always see, so kudos to EGT/Amusnet.
The Buy Bonus only buys the entry, since the random pick of the expanding symbol still decides the round, so a buy lives or dies on which symbol you get.
With no Ante BetAn Ante Bet is an option that costs a percentage of your bet but increases your chances of landing triggering symbols that initiate a feature., buying is the only shortcut past the wait for Free Spins. Jackpot Cards triggers at random, so don't plan your bankroll around the Spade level.
I'd point medium-bet players with patience for Free Spins droughts at the slot, and anyone who wants frequent feature hits without buying should pass.
