Jetsetter Slot Review
Ever dreamed of being filthy rich and living life by different rules? I know I've often thought about using my imaginary fame and fortune to highlight global warming, all while flying around in my private jet and creating a carbon footprint the size of Godzilla! Hypocrisy aside, the lifestyles of the 1% are appealing on many levels – lower income tax for one (feel my rage!), fair-weather friends a-plenty and the attention of shallow swimming maneaters. As you can tell by my mocking tone, I'm not part of the elite in real life. But, they are sorta like the cool crowd in high school that we would mock, but secretly want to join. Endorphina has created a video slot called Jetsetter that lets you live the fantasy on any device or platform. From the moment the Paris Hilton (remember her?) lookalike beckoned me into her opulent world, I was hooked. The vices of luxury and beauty swept me away, and my bourgeois aspirations were met. It was a guilty pleasure to embrace the hedonism for a while. OK, I admit it, if I had $100 million, I'd ditch my moral superiority and become a part of that world forever! So, put your chihuahua in a carry bag, pout those lips and get ready to blend in…
Jetsetter is a 5 reel, 20 payline slot with luxurious symbols of wealth, which are: the Jetsetter logo, blonde “babe”, a fancy boat, sportscar, cigar in hand, roulette wheel and a jet plane. These are joined by card numbers 9 and 10, together with face card letters. The blonde 'babe” is the scatter, while the Jetsetter game logo is the wild. The wild symbol substitutes for everything except the scatter. Controls are simple – Bet line, Menu (game settings), Total bet, Auto (that alternates with a Take Risk), Spin (alternates with Take Win) and Lines. For strategic players, the Autospin has some nice planning options which include spin number, stop win, stop loss or time passed.
The wild symbol doubles profits on any win in which it substitutes a symbol. Three or more scatters and it's FREE SPINS time baby!! There are 20 free spins in which no standard symbols are featured, but rather are replaced by halved banknotes. Once two matching halves stop in line, they form a whole, and the value of the note is multiplied by the bet amount. While there may not be a progressive jackpot, your highest win can score you 10 000x your staked bet! Yowsers – after that you'll be fighting off those maneaters!
There's a “Take Risk” function in which after each winning spin you get the opportunity to choose one of 4 cards – if your choice is higher than the dealers, then you double your money. You can carry on until you lose – but beware : it's double or quits each time!
Jetsetter graphics are glitzy cliches which work perfectly! The artwork is cartoonish but well drawn. The music is trendy and uber cool – it's present, but not overpowering. There are no performance issues and it would satisfy even the fussiest elitists.
Whether you love to hate them or hate to love them, the “in” crowd of wealthy society has an allure. And, so does Jetsetter – mainly because you can dip your toe into these shallow waters and escape when you want. I guess I'm a huge hypocrite too because I loved being one of them, even if it was for a fleeting time. So, duck the paparazzi, ask Jeeves for some Lobster Thermidor and start having some fun!
