Joker X Slot Review
Introduction
I’m not really a DC Comics fan or a follower of the Joker movies – shameful, I know – but after watching a skeletal Joaquin Phoenix, I just might be a believer.
Apparently, he lost 52 pounds for the role and said that he found it “empowering” because it made him hyper-aware of his body and helped with his dancing scenes.
I think I’ll stick to shoving pies down my throat and looking like I’m having an epileptic seizure on the dance floor, thank you very much.
But if you’re hungry for some Joker action, then join me as we check out Joker X slot from Amatic.
Gameplay
Jokers, fruit, and lucky 7’s – it’s a heady mix and one that will hopefully make us a lot of money! The 5x3-reel grid sits atop a background that looks like the ultimate gambler’s wallpaper.
I love how the design is bold and animated, and the controls fit in perfectly with the rest of it. As you can image, it’s absolutely stunning on a mobile phone – it’s definitely one of the best-looking games you can take on the go with you.
Interestingly, this game only has sound effects rather than a soundtrack you’d usually mute. I really dig this concept as it contributes to the overall experience without being annoying.
The highest paying symbols after the 7 Wild are the watermelons, grapes/plums, lemons/oranges, and finally the cherries.
Now it’s time to see what the stats shape up like, starting with a stunning RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.. That comes in at 97.03%, which is the highest I’ve seen in a very long time.
This 20-payline game rocks a medium volatility, which usually means more frequent but lower-paying wins.
For me though – and experiences will differ, so please don’t expect the same thing to happen to you (even though I hope it does) – I landed a win of 129,500 credits off a 700-credit bet, almost off the bat. What a way to start the action!
There is, however, some not-so-great news: the bet limits are really restrictive as they start at €0.20 and only go up to €3. And then there’s the max win which I’m sorry to say is only €15,000.
Features
The object of this game is to land as many Jokers and 7 Wild symbols as you can on the reels.
Our Joker homie brings in random multipliers that range from 2x to 5x your bet.
Jokers make an appearance on reel number 3 and will be stacked.
Jokers substitute for all other symbols.
The red 7 is our Wild and it also substitutes for all other symbols.
In certain territories, you’ll also have the option to double your winnings using the Gamble featureThis feature allows you to gamble your current winnings. It usually takes the form of guessing what color and/or suit a facedown card will reveal itself to be. A correct guess on the color pays 2x, while a correct guess of the color and suit pays 4x your bet..
And that, fine folks, is all that Joker X slot has to offer in terms of features.
Performance
Other than the slightly lengthy amount of time it took to load on my phone, everything else went according to plan. I tested the game using different browsers and devices and had no issues.
Maximum Win
The max win for Joker X slot is no laughing matter. OK, it’s not that bad, but at only €15,000, it won’t set you up for the rest of your life.
Conclusion
I actually enjoyed playing this game, despite its many limitations. Admittedly though, it gets tedious after a while as there’s nothing to hold your attention.
The pros:
I love how the game looks, it’s perfect for playing on a mobile phone, and the RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. is excellent.
The cons:
There are no features to speak of, other than the Wild and Multiplier. You don’t even get Free Spins with this game! And the max win is low.
