Jungle Spirit Megaways Slot Review

In some tribes, they believe there are spirits in everything. This belief extends to the trees🌴, rocks🪨, and animals🦍. Even waterfalls have spirits🤨. Everything.

If you've spent any time in a jungle, particularly if you've slept in one, you can understand why they thought that. At night, jungles are just as busy as during the day. Probably even more so!

It’s terrifying to lie in a pitch-dark tent with a rock stabbing you in the kidney🤕, bugs flying around, and undescribable noises coming from seemingly every direction😰.

I would 100% advise you to leave the jungle to the jungle creatures. And if you really feel the need to go, fire up Jungle Spirit Megaways slot from NetEnt instead.

Gameplay

And we’re back in some nondescript green hell in this high-volatility Jungle Spirit Megaways slot. As the name suggests, this game uses Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic to give you up to 117,649 ways to win.

To win, all you need to do is land three or more matching symbols from the leftmost reel to the right. You play on 6 reels with up to 7 symbols landing on them.

The game is not going to win any beauty awards, but when the symbols explode and allow new symbols to drop in, the animation is very satisfying. The high symbols are a tiger, an elephant, a bear, a crocodile, and a cobra.

There is also a lotus flower that acts as the Scatter. When it lands, it not only explodes but also collects in a small slot at the top of the reels, which allows new symbols to drop in from above.

The developers also chose to only allow the Scatter to land on reels 1, 3, and 5 during the initial spin, but it can appear on all the reels in any subsequent symbol drops. After each spin, the Scatter counter is also reset.

This game has a 96.2% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. value, and there are no limits to what currency you play with, except for the Australian dollar and Dogecoin.

The best possible multiplier you can hit is 6,457x, which, if you're betting the highest bid of $40, will award you $258,280. That’s not a bad payday! Alternatively, the betting range opens at just $0.20, with plenty of betting options to suit your risk appetite.

Features

SYMBOL EXPANSION

On any spin in the base game and Free Spins, a high-paying symbol that forms part of a winning combination can be marked by a butterfly and will expand to take over the reel instead of exploding.

BUTTERFLY BOOST

This feature takes the Symbol Expansion a step further, with 2 to 3 butterflies landing on high-paying symbols and transforming them into Expanded Symbols that take over the entire reel.

FREE SPINS

When you manage to trigger Free Spins, you’ll be presented with 5 Free Spin games.

Each Free Spins game only has 1 of the higher-paying symbols appearing on the reels that matches the animal of that Free Spins game. Each Free Spins game offers a different number of Free Spins as well.

• Tiger Free Spins grants 4 Free Spins.
• Elephant Free Spins grants 8 Free Spins.
• Bear Free Spins grants 12 Free Spins.
• Crocodile Free Spins grants 16 Free Spins.
• Cobra Free Spins grants 20 Free Spins.

The games with fewer Free Spins have a higher risk but higher winning potential.

After picking your Free Spins game, you have the option to spin the Free Spins Wheel, which will double your number of Free Spins, but if you lose, Free Spins are no longer available, and you’re booted back to the base game.

If you don’t want to spin the wheel, you simply tap the Collect Button and enter your Free Spins round.

BUY BONUS

If you want to skip the base game and get right into Free Spins, you can for 50x your bet, and you’ll be able to select which Free Spins game you want to play.

Performance

I spent hours spinning the Jungle Spirit Megaways slot, and neither my laptop nor my Android phone encountered any issues.

Maximum Win

The betting range starts at $0.20 and goes up to $40 per spin. If you’re prepared to play with the top bet, you could be in with a chance to win the game’s prize limit of $258,280, if you can hit the 6,457x peak multiplier, that is.

Conclusion

Jungle Spirit Megaways slot is the Megaways version of Jungle Spirit slot, also from NetEnt. They're almost identical in every respect, except for the Megaways mechanic.

The game is rather sneaky, letting you choose how many Free Spins you play and then tempting you with the option to gamble for more. It’s especially hard to resist when you go for one of the higher-paying symbols and so few Free Spins.

But I do really like that I get to choose my Free Spins game, which in my opinion gives the game a good boost.

I tried doubling my Free Spins a few times and was successful occasionally, but I would normally take my Free Spins and run. They’re free! Don’t get greedy! I also opted for the middle ground with Bear Free Spins for a fair balance of risk and reward.

That was my strategy, but you can decide on your own.

If you’re a fan of Megaways games like I am, then you’ll be glad to see a brand new one that offers some compelling features and solid winning opportunities thanks to the Symbol Expansion and Butterfly Boost.

Give it a spin, and good luck!
