Gameplay
Katmandu X slot is a sensory delight! The graphics, soundtrack, and effects are epic. ELK Studios went above and beyond on this one.
The game has an ancient Japan theme but with a Mortal Kombat aesthetic. It plays differently from a regular slot as well. So, rather than the standard 5x3 reels and paylines, you land cluster wins that feature stone blocks that drop.
A winning cluster consists of 5 or more adjacent identical symbols that explode. Each winning cluster generates a Wild that appears in the space, which is filled with more drops — creating a potential chain of winning clusters and Wilds.
The symbols come in four sizes: Regular, Super, Mega, and Epic. Each of these larger symbols counts as the number of regular symbols it consists of.
When bigger symbols are re-dropped, they crush smaller symbols except those of the same type, Wilds and Bonus symbols. Any empty spaces below a big symbol are filled with normal-sized symbols of the same kind, leading to a cluster.
There are a lot of Wilds: a regular Wild, a Multiplier Wild, and an Exploding Wild. And you also get Bonus and Super Bonus symbols.

Wild Strike activates randomly and replaces symbols with Wilds, Multiplier Wilds, and Exploding Wilds.
MULTIPLIER
There is also a total win multiplier that applies to all winning clusters and that resets after every spin. Winning symbols and exploded symbols increase the multiplier. Wild Multipliers are applied first, and then the total multiplier.
FREE SPINS
Landing 3 Bonus symbols in the base game gets you 7 Free Spins, called Free Drops. The total multiplier at the top of the grid doesn’t reset until after all the Free Spins end. You get an additional Free Spin if you land a Super Bonus symbol.
Super Bonus
This is a subset of the Free Spin round, the Super Bonus is triggered if you land 3 Bonus symbols, and one is a Super Bonus symbol.
