Loki’s Riches Slot Review
I don’t want to sound like an anti-establishment nutcase, but I basically am🤨.
I pay bills like everyone else. Power💡, water🚿, property tax💲—the whole gamut of things you have to pay the banks and government for the pleasure of living.
But if I had a mentor, it would be Loki!
Not the Marvel version. The spiteful villain. I mean, the Trickster God version!
He works against the powers that be and challenges the gods when no one else will.
Well, I’m going to let you in on a little secret, dear reader. This reviewer challenges the powers that be by exploiting a little oversight of the all-powerful oligarchs.
They expect payment for something that I take freely! I have never paid for it! And as long as the fat, incompetent fools don’t catch on, I never bloody will😈!
So, in that spirit, I introduce to you Loki’s Riches slot from Pragmatic Play!
Gameplay
In the world of online slots, Norse mythology is an often-mined source of inspiration.
There are countless games that use Thor as their main character. But this time, we’re accompanied on our quest for treasure by the god of mischief, Loki!
Loki poses next to a huge 7x7 game grid. Good thing it's so big because you want to land clusters pays of 5 or more matching symbols touching each other to create a win.
Winning symbols are removed, and new symbols tumble down to fill in the gaps left behind. This tumbling continues until no new winning clusters are formed and the spin ends.
The high-paying symbols include a golden Loki idol, a ruby ring, Thor’s hammer, and a green shield.
The Scatter symbol is a Book symbol, and it appears on all the reels. You need at least 4 to hit to trigger a round of 10 Free Spins.
The highest possible win on a single spin is 10,000x your bet level, which will award you $340,000! Read that again. It’s not a typo. That is a buttload of cash, dude!
And it makes complete sense since the volatility in this game is very high.
The betting range bottoms out at $0.20 and tops out at $34. You will need to bet the maximum if you want to stand a chance of winning that massive prize.
The only currency not permitted in this game is the Japanese yen.
And last, but far from least, is the RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate., which is 96.04%.
Features
EXPANDING SYMBOLS
Randomly on any base game spin, a paying symbol is selected to be a special Expanding symbol and is displayed in the box next to the reels.
When a symbol is selected, it doesn’t get removed from the reels as part of the tumblings; instead, at the end of all the tumbles, it expands into a group of 4 symbols of the same type, and any wins that result from it are awarded.
The symbol expands right-down by default unless it is in the bottom position of reel 1, in which case it expands right-up.
If the symbol is on reel 7, it will expand left-down; unless it's at the bottom of the reel, then it will expand left-up.
It can happen that more than one symbol can expand, and if any overlap occurs, the position still only counts as 1 instance of that symbol.
FREE SPINS
Before Free Spins start, one paying symbol is randomly selected to be the Expanding Symbol for the duration of the round.
You can be awarded 10 additional Free Spins by landing 4 Scatter symbols during the feature.
BUY BONUS
If you’re not keen on spending an undetermined amount to trigger Free Spins naturally, you can use the Buy Bonus option and guarantee 4 or more Scatter symbols landing on the next spin for 100x your bet.
Performance
I played hundreds of spins on Loki’s Riches slot and didn’t encounter any hiccups or issues, even across devices and browsers.
Maximum Win
Here are the numbers, folks. Bets start at $0.20 and end at $34. You can win up to $340,000—10,000x your bet level.
Conclusion
Loki’s Riches slot is an awesome-looking slot that plays really well on mobile and PC. I preferred it on PC, but that’s just me.
There aren’t too many features here. You have your standard Free Spins, which are triggered by landing the 4 Scatters in the base game.
If you’re too impatient, you can trigger the 10 Free Spins for 100x your bet.
During Free Spins, a symbol is picked to be the special Expanding Symbol for the duration of the round.
The other feature is the Expanding Symbol that I just mentioned. In the base game, on any random spin, a symbol is randomly selected to expand into a 2x2 symbol after all the wins and tumbles are done.
The best part of this slot is the incredibly high max win, which is really why I recommend this game.
