Lordi Reel Monsters Slot Review
Now I’m a metal guy to my bones, so Lordi Reel Monsters slot from Play’n GO has me throwing horns and muttering obscenities at the same time.
The reason for my mixed emotions is that while I’m clearly a fan of dark and devilish imagery, the Finnish band’s music never lived up to their aesthetic.
They’re just like Swedish band, Ghost, in that respect. Anyhoo, each to their own and Lordi did kill it at Eurovision, which is an impressive feat!
As for the game, it’s bristling with balls-out graphics and Hard Rock Hallelujah blares from the speakers – as you’d damn well expect!

The action happens on 7 reels, and the slot uses a cluster pays system. In other words, you’ll need 5 or more matching symbols to touch horizontally and/or vertically. The symbols that are involved in a win will be removed and new symbols fall down to fill the gaps.
Lordi Reel Monster slot offers a headbanging €240,000 max win and comes bundled with a 96.2% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.. It’s a medium-volatility game so expect fairly frequent wins, which will have moderate payouts.
Features
DEMON CHARGER:
See that symbol on the pedestal to the right of the grid? That’s the Demon Charger and each winning symbol counts as a single charge which fills it up.
The mechanism has 2 levels and holds up to 40 charges. Land 15 or more charges and a Monster will appear in the middle of the Demon Charger. Depending on which band member appears, something cool will happen.
Mr. Lordi adds 5 to 8 Wilds
Hella protects 1 or 2 symbol types as well as Wilds, while destroying the rest
Amen transforms 2 to 5 symbols into different ones
Hiisi chooses a symbol and builds up a winning cluster
Mana turns a single symbol into a Wild
FREE SPINS:
Once you’ve nailed 40 charges and offered the Free Spin, you’ll be able to choose between the Reel Monster or Better Hate Than Never. Here’s some more detail on those:
Reel Monster: A multiplier will be added to all wins, starting at 1x, and increasing by 1 with each winning cascade. Oh, and 2 Monsters are guaranteed.
Better Hate Than Never: Winning Wilds will be collected, and 3 Monsters are guaranteed here. After the Monsters, 5 – 10 Wilds will be added back to the grid.
There’s also a Wild in this game and that golden, demon-headed monstrosity will replace all other symbols.
Performance
The gameplay on Lordi Reel Monsters slot was anything but hellish – it performed flawlessly through hundreds of test spins on multiple devices.
Maximum Win
If you land the 4,000x multiplier at the maximum bet of €60, you’ll have won the top prize worth €240,000! Hallelujah!
Conclusion
I have to say, I enjoyed playing this game. It was great to have the volume turned up, instead of on mute like I usually do.
The fun part comes about with collecting enough charges to unleash a Monster and reaping the benefits. It has enough features to keep you interested, and the medium volatility also helps maintain interest levels during the base game.
