Lost City of the Djinn Slot Review
My first introduction to djinn came from a Kung Fu instructor of mine. He was a Muslim fella who infused our meditation with all manner of Middle-Eastern rituals and practices.
While a whole bunch of weird things happened during training, as well as outside of the Dojo, I never got to “see” an actual genie. I have a feeling I’ll be a lot luckier at spotting them on Lost City of the Djinn slot from Thunderkick, and we won’t even have to rub one out.
Gameplay
Welcome to the mysterious Middle East, where palm trees offer refuge from an unrelenting sun. You’d be excused for thinking that the light-hearted design implies this game has no substance – but boy, would you be wrong!
We’ve got ourselves a highly volatile game that offers a 96.07% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. and a purse worth €250,000. The action plays out across 25 fixed paylines and you can start betting as low as €0.10 or as “high” as a mere €10.
Before we get too carried away though, I must mention that only fiat players who aren’t using Japanese yen, will be able to take this game on. So no crypto either (sorry about that).
Features
WILDS:
The Wild replaces all other symbols except the Free Spins and Cash Scatter symbols.
CASH SCATTER SYMBOLS:
Land 3 or more of these symbols on different reels and you’ll have clinched the Djinn Spins game. Oh, and you can bring the Cash Scatter symbols in during both the base game and the Free Spins round.
DJINN SPINS FEATURE:
When you trigger this feature, the reels will only contain empty spaces and symbols with bet multipliers. The latter start at 1x and go up to 50x your bet.
The action starts off with 3 Free Spins and you can reset the counter by landing a symbol on an empty space. Once the round has ended, the values of all your multipliers will be added up and applied to your bet.
The following can also happen during the Djinn Spins feature:
Pattern Collect Feature:
At some point, you’ll hopefully see 5 positions rimmed in blue. The Pattern Collect feature triggers when all 5 of those positions are filled. Then, the bet multiplier values of the 5 will be added up and applied to a symbol in the middle position – and then the amount is doubled!
Upgrade Feature:
This one takes the form of an orange symbol. This Upgrade symbol adds its bet multiplier to all the other visible bet multipliers.
Copy Feature:
The Copy symbol (it looks like the Upgrade one, only red in color) takes on the values of all the visible symbols.
MASSIVE MYSTERY SYMBOLS:
These are golden 3x3-sized symbols that can randomly become any other symbol (except the Free Spins Scatter). During the base game, you’ll see them on reels 2 to 4.
FREE SPINS:
Landing 3 Scatters gets you into this round. Now, each spin will trigger that gargantuan Massive Mystery symbol.
Performance
Lost City of the Djinn performed flawlessly, and I didn’t have to summon a genie to ask for favors. I tested it on my iPhone 12 Pro and Mac Mini, using Safari and Chrome, and had no issues.
Maximum Win
There’s a quarter mill here that’s waiting to be claimed. Set your bet limit to the max (€10) and bring in the 25,000x multiplier for a kickass win worth €250,000. Or you can start betting at €0.10 and take your chances.
Conclusion
So on paper, Lost City of the Djinn slot has got a lot going for it – a nice max win, good RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate., and so on. What I found though, was that you can get stuck on the base game for quite some time and then things get boring real quick.
Getting stuck in the base game happens on loads of other slots so that in itself doesn’t mean you should take a pass. It’s a solid slot and offers some interesting features so just be a little patient.
