Mad Cabs Slot Review
The sweetest cab I’ve ever been in was in this coastal town called Durban in South Africa. Even though the car was an old Toyota Corolla, the dude clearly loved it. 🚕
The driver/owner had the car custom spray painted with green hundred dollar notes all along the length of it, he’d put drop-down monitors inside and had installed a sound system that literally shook the windows. 💵🎵
The best thing about the ride was the company. My mate and I had met these strippers in another town and convinced them to come with us to Durban for a dirty weekend.
And when you arrive at your apartment and the one girl’s luggage starts vibrating, you know you’re in for a good time. 😈
This is Mad Cabs slot from 1x2 Gaming.
Gameplay
Tuk-Tuks, yellow cabs, black taxis, and pink stretch limousines – Mad Cabs slot certainly wasn’t misleading us with its title as these symbols are festooned on the 5x4-reel grid.
The reels find themselves hovering over a suspiciously clean street in some residential area but, despite the square-ish shape of the playing area, the game doesn’t work all that well on a mobile phone.
You see, the problem is that the grid is very small and stays more or less the same size in landscape mode, so flipping your phone ain’t gonna fix the problem.
There’s another issue, too: the mismatch between the €150,000 max win and the high volatility rate. Usually, we’d see numbers in the 200k to 250k region.
There are 20 paylines in the game, and the RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. is 95.25%, while the largest multiplier you can grab is 7,500x. You’ll need to play with fiat money, but no Japanese yen, please.
Features
CALL A NOOBER:
Haaahaaahaa, I love the whole Noober/Uber thing. Very clever! This feature is triggered when you land 2 or more different sets of cab symbols that form part of a winning combination.
When the feature springs into life, one of the landed cabs is randomly chosen and it will stack to cover the reel it's on. These stacked symbols don’t have to be adjacent in order to award a win.
As for the animation with the mobile phone, it’s fun the first few times but it eats up a lot of time cumulatively.
FREE SPINS:
Hitting 3, 4, or 5 Noober Scatters gets you 10, 15, or 20 Free Spins respectively. The Call a Noober feature can trigger during Free Spins when cab symbols appear on 3 or more reels.
Now, a randomly selected cab transforms the other cab symbols into the same type as itself before stacking.
Performance
I hailed a ton of taxis while testing this slot and not once did they let me down. Unlike Uber.
Maximum Win
The €150,000 max win comes courtesy of a 7,500x multiplier coupled with a bet of €20. You can also bet from as little as €0.20 if you prefer.
Conclusion
A thrill a minute this game isn’t, with its Free Spins and Noober feature. Nor is it much good for mobile play. And then there’s the matter of the top prize/volatility mismatch.
So, as you can see, I’m not the biggest fan but it’s not an awful game. I just found it a little on the dull side.
