Magellan Slot Review

Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese explorer who organized the first circumnavigation of the earth, and we’re joining him on the adventure of a lifetime. Explorers unite! It’s time for us to board the ship, sword in hand, and prepare for a life-changing experience.

Gameplay

Magellan is a 5-reel, 50-payline video slot powered by software from EGT Interactive. Based loosely around the explorations of Ferdinand Magellan, you can expect all kinds of adventures while playing this game. The symbols are a little bit all over the place, including a young woman with a flower in her hair and Magellan himself. Other symbols include a map, a compass, and playing cards from 9 to Queen. The Wild is represented by a ship, while a globe acts as the Scatter. The controls are straightforward, but let’s run through them just in case there are any gambling novices in the crowd. On your left, you’ll find the controls for the sound, information, full screen, and Auto Play - should your fingers get tired of spinning the reels manually. In the middle of the screen, you’ll find the controls for your coin level, and preset bets ranging from 50 to 1000. On the right, you’ll see the button which will take you to the home screen and the display featuring your total win.

Features

So, what features can you expect from Magellan?
Gamble: To increase your winnings, you can click on the ‘gamble’ button, triggered after a winning round. All you have to do is guess whether the face-down card is black or red. Guess right, and you’ll double your winnings, but get it wrong, and you’ll be sent back to the base game empty-handed.
Wild: Substitutes for all symbols except Scatters. Stacked on all reels

Unique Features

Given that this is an exploration-themed slot, you can expect some adventurous features:
Free Spins: Landing 3 Scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4 triggers 7 Free Spins. In the case of re-triggering, 7 additional spins will be added to the current number. During this feature, an alternate set of reels is used.
Jackpot Cards Mystery: Jackpot Cards Mystery is a randomly triggered bonus, that is activated when a Jackpot Cards stamped game is played. Each of the mystery jackpots is represented by one of the four suits: clubs, spades, diamonds, and hearts. You’ll have to pick 3 matching cards from a pick-field of 12 to be rewarded with the corresponding suits jackpot.

Performance

EGT know how to build a slot, and Magellan really is no exception. The graphics are fantastic, the soundtrack transport you to the decks of an old-timey ship, and the game is available on any device.

Conclusion

Overall, this game does Magellan proud. It’s packed full of adventurous features, as well as outstanding graphics and gameplay. This is a slot you’ll come back to over and over again, even if it’s just for the thrill of the adventure.
