Magic Journey is an Asian themed slot that has been inspired by one of the 4 Great Classic Novels of Chinese literature, this one being from the 16th century named Journey to the West. One of the main characters in the novel is The Monkey King known as Sun Wukong. The story, in a very brief nutshell, relates that he is a monkey who was born from a stone and acquired supernatural powers and magic ability through Taoist practices. After he rebelled against heaven and was imprisoned under a mountain by the Buddha, he was chosen by the monk Tang Sanzang to go on a journey to obtain Buddhist sutras from the West (referring to India) where Buddha and his followers reside. Gameplay
Magic Journey is a 1x5 reel with a 3x3 grid and 8 payline slot powered by Pragmatic Play software. The symbols hold no value and are used to fill a scorecard (the 3x3 grid) that correlate to a specific payline win amount. The symbols are based on characters from the novel that include human and human-animal hybrids. The only special symbol is the Monkey King Re-spin symbol.There are no free spins, wilds, scatter or bonus symbols, instead the entire game can be considered to be a feature. The Scorecard has place holders for each of the 9 symbols/characters of the game. So the point of this is to fill the Scorecard with the characters. Now in order to do so you must spin the bottom reel. You may land no symbols at all which sucks, so you have been warned. However, if you land a character symbol, it will highlight in it’s position on the Scorecard (only one per character) if you have enough characters from the one spin to fill 3 positions on a winning line you win that line value and activate a Monkey King Re-spin to potentially fill more character positions and increasing the number of lines to win. The symbols used to activate the re-spin will remain sticky until no further wins are landed. If you do not have enough characters the symbols will return to their “blank” state on the Scorecard.
If you land a Monkey King Re-spin symbol on the 1x5 spinning reel, you will be given a re-spin and is retriggered with every Monkey King Re-spin symbol you land.
Fill the Scorecard and you are awarded with 400x stake and at max bet of 100 that means 40000 on a single spin.
