Magic Money Slot Review
For hundreds of years, people devoted their lives to turning ordinary lead into gold. A quest, for some reason, they called "The Philosopher's Stone."
But it wasn't a total waste. A 17th-century alchemist looking for gold in his pee accidentally discovered phosphorus 🧪 instead. Real chemistry discovered by a magic trick that never worked.
I can't turn anything into something of value without considerable effort, so I'll take whatever magic is on offer.
In Magic Money slot from Novomatic, a Sorceress pays out exactly what those alchemists never could. Actual money!
Gameplay
You'll spin against a moonlit, gothic backdrop, a castle and a lightning-lit sky behind a lake, with the Sorceress and her Owl framing the game on either side.
The game runs on a 5x3 grid with 9 paylines. RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. sits at 92.03%, volatility is low/medium, the max multiplier is 1,596.88x, and the max win is $287,438.40.
The Sorceress is both your Wild and the game's top-paying symbol, worth 5,000x the line bet for 5-of-a-kind. She substitutes for everything except the Chest in the base game.
During Free Spins, she won't substitute for the Chest, Wand, or Dragon either.
The Wizard pays 1,000x for 5-of-a-kind, and the Owl pays 500x. The Crystal Ball closes out the high-pay tier at 250x.
The paytable's lower tier is made up of low-paying symbols. The Ace pays 200x for 5-of-a-kind, the King and Queen share a 150x tier, and the Jack and 10 share a 100x tier.
The Chest symbol is your Scatter. It pays anywhere on the board rather than on a payline, and landing 3 gets you into Free Spins.
Features
FREE SPINS:
Land 3 Chest symbols anywhere on the board and you're into Free Spins. The round ends the moment the Dragon symbol lands on the stopped reels rather than staying in motion.
Dragon Cage:
The Dragon tries to break free from its cage on every Free Spin. Once it escapes, it roams the reels until a Lock symbol lands and cages it again, extending your round.
If the Dragon breaks free and lands on the stopped reels before a Lock catches it, your round ends there.
Wheel of Fortune:
Land the Wand symbol in a specific frame position during Free Spins and you spin the Wheel of Fortune, worth up to 999 credits or up to 2 extra Locks for the Dragon Cage.
Performance
The slot didn't throw a single hiccup across testing, cycling through several Free Spins rounds without any delay.
Maximum Win
Hit the max multiplier of 1,596.88x at the $180 top bet and you're looking at a max win of $287,438.40. The smallest bet you can place is $0.18.
Conclusion
The game's biggest wins come from stacking things together: multiple lines paying at once, a Sorceress combination doing the heavy lifting, and a strong pull on the Wheel of Fortune bonus.
All of it has to land inside a Free Spins round that survives long enough to see it through.
Reaching the max multiplier isn't tied to one repeatable trigger.
It comes from several of those pieces landing together in the same round, more a stack of coincidences than a single button to chase.

The max multiplier lines up with the low/medium volatility rating instead of overshooting it, so the numbers here are honest about what the game delivers.
There's no Buy Bonus and no Ante BetAn Ante Bet is an option that costs a percentage of your bet but increases your chances of landing triggering symbols that initiate a feature. here, so triggering Free Spins comes down entirely to the reels themselves. No shortcuts, no way to nudge the odds, landing 3 Chests is the only way in.
Players who like a classic, moderate-swing slot without any pay-to-play shortcuts suit the slot well.
Anyone chasing constant big multipliers or hoping to buy into the feature should look elsewhere, since neither option exists here.
