I ended up in Bangkok on a trip to Thailand and proceeded to party harder than ever before 🎉.

One night, as I strolled down a random dark alleyway past all the big party streets, I came across a weird little bar with a mini door 🚪. I was intrigued, so I entered, and as I walked in, I was greeted by not one but ten tiny dudes, all drinking beer 🍺.

I would call them Dwarves, but they were undoubtedly goblins of some sort. The good news is that they didn’t rob or capture me to sacrifice to their goblin lord 🤣. The bad news is that they drank me under the table 🍻.

This slot game looks the part: the 3x5-reel grid is framed in gold (a Dwarf’s favorite) and is set against a backdrop that can only be described as a Dwarven stronghold. The soundtrack is as mystical as the Dwarves themselves.

The Wild symbol replaces all other symbols except the Scatter, Gold Nugget, Gold Coin, and Dwarf symbols. It can only appear on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Landing 3 or more Scatter symbols triggers a Free Spins round.

Any combination of 6 Gold Coin and Dwarf Symbols anywhere on the reels triggers the Mega Fire Blaze Hold & Win feature.

Gold Nugget symbols only appear in the Free Spins and Hold & Win features. I’ll discuss its magic properties in the feature section.

Any Dwarf symbols that participated in the feature trigger or land during the re-spins will remove 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 stone covers from the symbol positions below them on their symbol column.

If a Dwarf symbol lands above a Treasure Chest, and there are no stone-covered symbol positions in the symbol column below it, the Chest at the bottom of the column will open to reveal an award of the Grand, Major, Minor, or Mini Jackpot.

After the mechanics of a Dwarf symbol are complete, it will transform into a Blue and Gold Coin symbol with a value of 1x total bet.

  • Any Goblin symbols that land during the re-spins will add 1, 2, or 3 Gold Nuggets.
  • The Goblin symbol will then transform into a Blue and Gold Coin.
  • Gold Nuggets added by a Goblin symbol will occupy a randomly selected, covered symbol position.

If a Dwarf uncovers a Gold Nugget position, the Gold Nugget will reveal a prize of 10x, 15x, or a Mini, Minor, or Major Jackpot.

When all 3 re-spins have been used, or all available symbol positions have been filled, the re-spins will be complete. All prizes displayed on unlocked symbol positions will be awarded, and the feature will end.

At the surface level, this game looks great and plays well on mobile phones, but what is it really like?

The base game offers straightforward slot action, but it’s the Free Spins and Hold & Win features that bring the real action.

From Dwarf and Goblin symbols to Gold Nuggets and Jackpots, these bonus features can get complicated, but all you need to know is that they pay.

The Hold & Win feature, with its added rows and transforming symbols, is especially entertaining and my highlight of the game.

Unfortunately, despite its medium to high volatility rate, Mega Fire Blaze: Dwarves and Goblins slot doesn’t pay out much, so you might want to look for gold elsewhere.
