Mega Lucky Diamonds Slot Review

If you thought curses were what happened to gravediggers and archaeologists who disturbed some sleeping Pharaoh, think again. There have been plenty of stories about cursed diamonds and gemstones, and the Hope Diamond is one of the most famous.

King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette owned the 45.52-carat stone, and it did them not an ounce of good. They lost their heads during the French Revolution, but this tragedy pales in comparison to American socialite Evalyn Mclean’s experience.

The poor woman lost her daughter to an overdose, and then her son died in a car crash. Not only that, but Evalyn’s husband left her for another woman. Happily, the Hope Diamond now lives in the Smithsonian.

But enough of this kinda talk – let’s focus on something more positive. This is Mega Lucky Diamonds slot from 1Spin4Win.

Gameplay

Pretty isn’t an adjective I’d use to describe Mega Lucky Diamonds slot. The game looks really old school, and not in a good way. Everything is blocky and one-dimensional, and it’s not like the design looks fabulous on a mobile phone, either.

The Jackpot elements live on top of the grid when the game is viewed in portrait mode. That, combined with all the red coloring, means it’s not the best-looking game I’ve ever seen.

In all fairness, it’s still fairly easy to discern what’s going on, and landscape mode fixes all of the issues, so that would be my preference for mobile play.

Mega Lucky Diamonds slot comes with 10 paylines, a stupendous 97.2% RTP, and a high volatility rate. And that means there are megabucks up for grabs, right? Actually, not at all. You see, the max win here has been capped at €50,000 – one of the lowest amounts I’ve seen in a while.

Features

The star Scatter pays in any position, and the amount is the highest of all the symbols. Land 5 Scatters, and you’re looking at a win worth €25,000. Next on the list is the red gemstone (5 of these = €5,000), the blue gemstone (5 = €2,500), and then the green one (€1,000 for 5).

The red gemstone is the Wild. There’s no visual way to discern this, though, as the studio hasn’t tagged the symbols or done something funky so you can tell. Wilds replace all symbols other than the Scatter.

The symbols you want, though, are the Lucky Jackpot symbols, and 3 of these award you the top prize. The Jackpots pay out as follows:

Mega Jackpot: 1,000x
Mini Jackpot: 300x
Mega Win: 150x
Big Win: 100x
Nice Win: 30x

Performance

Simplicity has its benefits, so it was no surprise that Mega Lucky Diamonds slot ate spins for breakfast. I punished the game on my phone and laptop and tried two types of browsers (Safari and Chrome) – it was all good in the hood throughout testing.

Maximum Win

I might not have been surprised by the performance, but this game’s lackluster max win took the wind out of my sails. Fifty grand (€50,000) for a high volatility game is a sad state of affairs.

The max multiplier is 1,000x, and the betting ranges from €0.10 to €50.

Conclusion

I honestly can’t find any reasons to recommend Mega Lucky Diamonds slot. The max win is dismal, there are no features or even Free Spins, and it’s not even nice to look at.

I’d avoid this one and find a game where the studio has put some effort – and money – into it.
