DEAD PATIENTS:

This feature comes into play when 2 or more Dead Patient symbols (these are gravestones) land on the reels. One of these will randomly transform into a (live) Patient symbol with a multiplier of 5x to 9,999x.

ENHANCER CELLS:

At the bottom of reels 2, 3, and 4, you’ll find Enhancer Cells – these look like the scratch marks that prisoners used to keep track of elapsed days.

When Fire Frames come about, that’s when Enhancer Cells get activated:

But what do these Enhancer Cells do? I’m glad you asked. They can reveal one of the following: Wilds, xSplit, xNudge Wild, Patient symbols, or xWays.

Wilds are just regular Wild symbols and Patient symbols you already know about. The xSplit divides a symbol on each reel into 2 parts and splits itself into 2 Wilds.

The xNudge Wild nudges so that the symbol is fully visible, and it increases the win multiplier by 1x each time this happens. If an xNudge Wild is split by an xSplit symbol, the xNudge Wild’s multiplier increases by 1x.

As for the xWays symbol, it’ll reveal 3 paying symbols of the same type, which in turn expands the reel height. Multiple xWays symbols always reveal the same symbol type.

XHOLE:

When an xHole symbol lands in a Fire Frame or on a Fire Reel (on the second position of the third reel, that is).

Now, regular symbols and Wilds are drawn from the main reels and redistributed to random positions. They’re also split into 2, 4, or 8 symbols. Where xNudge Wilds are concerned, only their multiplier is changed.

The xHole symbol will convert into a Wild, and if an xHole lands outside of a Fire Frame or Reel, it won’t be active.

XMENTAL:

Now, this one describes my ex rather well, but I digress. This feature also activates when an xMental symbol lands in a Fire Frame or on a Fire Reel (but anywhere). The upshot is that an extra spin is awarded with these features:

• All reel positions get Fire Frames
• Enhancers reveal xWyas, xNudge Wilds, or xSplit symbols
• There’s also the possibility that the xHole will be triggered

If the xMental symbol lands outside of a Fire Frame or Reel, it won’t be activated.

MENTAL TRANSFORM:

This round starts when you land Disembodied Scatters on reels 2 or 4. Head Scatters transform into one of the following: Patient symbols, Wilds, Dead Patients, xSplits, or xWays.

These are collected on the right-hand side of the screen. You’ll see their respective multiplier values plus a number (the count) denoting how many instances of each type of Patient symbol were collected.

Now, a spin will take place, and if a specific Patient lands on the grid (e.g., the Silence of the Lambs-looking one), it will receive the same multiplier as the one reflected by the collected version.

Each time a transfer like this happens, the collected symbol’s count decreases by 1. When the count hits zero, the collected symbol vanishes.
