There's a group of people who are adamant that fruit and vegetables feel pain when picked. Apparently, there's even a scream which is inaudible to the human ear.
OK – I'm an empathetic person but I have limits. I can be onboard with the vegetarian thing, but eating only fruit and veggies that has fallen off a tree?

Compounding any of these misgivings is Merry Fruits, an Amatic creation which presents fruit so adorable that you may want to eliminate it entirely from your diet. “Don't do it – don't slice that happy orange! Don't murder that precious plum!”
Merry Fruits brings the festivities to your PC, mobile device or tablet – and make no mistake, this is a party! These idiotic fruits are living a fiesta every second they're on screen. The odd thing is that they are so ludicrous that the party mood is contagious. I wanted to start conga lines in the office and get a beer keg!But, I remembered I had done that last week – so probably a bit soon?

Gameplay

Merry Fruits is a medium volatility 5 reel and 20 payline slot. The symbols are of course predominantly fruit, but presented in ways that boggle both mind and imagination. All are personified (i.e. have human attributes) The one non-fruit symbol is a lucky 7, shown as an old day crooner with a microphone. This is the wild and can replace anything except the scatter, which is a star fruit, complete with Marx brothers glasses and a mustache. Joining these misfits are a musical duet of orange and lemon together with female Pear (shapely!), plum and cherries.(I'm not going to make any jokes about the female cherries – that would just be too easy. I like my comedy to be a bit more challenging.)

The controls don't blend in that well but are very user-friendly. Up top are your Rules (including Paytable) while down below: Balance, Autostart, Exit, Gamble, Lines, Bet and Start.

Performance

The bizarre graphics are just too cute not to love, while the dancing animations would be right at home in a college frat house. I was impressed by the music which kept the atmosphere going, but found the sound effects a bit limited.
Throughout my tests, on numerous devices, I never had a single issue.

Conclusion

Admittedly there's not a lot of features in Merry Fruits, but these are the facts:

• It's a helluva lot of fun.

• You spin to try win - you don't need to worry about tons of other possibilities.
