Mighty Masks Slot Review
One of my favorite local bands was a rockabilly band whose lead singer wore a different Luchadore mask đ at every gig.
I followed them for years. I was at every gig I could make it to. And the lead singer stuck to the gimmick and never took his mask off. Even at the bar after gigs, he wouldn't take the mask off.
It added mystique to the band.
Who was the masked rocker?
Then, years later, we found out that he was also the bassist đ¸ for a very cheesyđ§ pop rock band. A band none of his fans in the rockabilly scene would respect.
We probably wouldnât have looked past his involvement in his other band if we knew who was under the mask. So as much as we felt deceived, the mask worked. It kept his identity a mystery.
Just like the masks in Mighty Masks slot from Hacksaw keep the symbols a mystery.
Gameplay
If you asked me, this slot was better with its previous name, Mask of Mystery slot. The game uses Mystery symbols as the main mechanic, and Mighty Masks slot doesnât really hint at that.
Weâre transported to Africa for Mighty Masks slot. The high-paying symbols are all animals: a lion, crocodile, chimpanzee, rhino, and bird. And they all look really annoyed for some reason.
When you fire up Mighty Masks slot, youâll see 5-reels with 4-rows. You wonât see them, but you should know there are 20 paylines.
To the right of the reels, there is a smaller 6th reel, or wheel, as the game calls it, containing multipliers that is inactive until you land a Nudge Wild.
Mighty Masks slot can be played on PC and on your phone. I liked playing in landscape mode on my Android phone. The controls are comfortable to use, the graphics are clear, and the action is easy to follow.
The RTPRTP stands for âReturn to Player.â The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a gameâs volatility rate. for this slot is 96.3% and has medium to high volatility depending on if you use the ante bet options, which I explain below.
You can bet as little as âŹ0.10 or as much as âŹ25. This is also a fiat currency slot, .
This slotâs highest multiplier you can hit is 10,000x during Free Spins, which if youâre betting the most the game allows, will reward you with the âŹ250,000 maximum win.
Features
WILDS
There are two Wild symbols in Mighty Masks slot. One is simply a W, and it substitutes for all paying symbols.
Then there is the Nudge Wild, one of the many African mask symbols featured. It also substitutes for all paying symbols, but it also activates the Multiplier Wheel when at least one winning combo lands on the reels with it.
The Multiplier Wheel will spin when a Nudge Wild lands on the reels, lands on one of the multiplier values, and applies it to all wins on the current spin.
The nudge value indicates how many times the Multiplier Wheel will move down randomly, adding up the multiplier values and applying the total multiplier to all wins for that spin.
- The Nudge Wild can also carry a nudge value of 1 to 5, 10, 25, or 50.
- The Multiplier Wheel contains: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 25x, 50x, and 100x.
The Mystery symbol has to be a Mystery Mask symbol in Mighty Masks slot. It appears in the base game and Free Spins and can reveal paying symbols or a Wild symbol.
All Mystery symbols that land on the reels during a spin reveal the same symbol. If you land Mystery Mask symbols on 3 or more reels, they expand downward to fill the reels theyâre on.
SCATTER
The Scatter is called the FS Scatter, because thatâs what it says on it. You need to land 3, 4, or 5 to trigger 10, 12, or 14 Free Spins, respectively.
FREE SPINS
Nothing different from the base game happens in the Free Spins round. Although if you land 2 or 3 FS Scatter, symbols youâre awarded 2 or 4 additional Free Spins, respectively.
BUY BONUS
If you want to skip trying to trigger Free Spins in the base game, you can purchase 10 Free Spins for 120x your current bet with the Serengeti Sunset Buy Bonus.
ANTE BET
Hacksaw Gaming offers a number of FeatureSpins, where each spin is guaranteed a certain feature at a set cost based on your bet level.
- BonusHunt FeatureSpins: Each spin is 5x more likely to trigger Free Spins = 3x your current bet.
- Masked FeatureSpins: Each spin guarantees that at least 2 Mystery Mask symbols will land = 40x your current bet.
I didnât encounter any loading issues, bugs, or glitches in my playthrough. I tested Mighty Masks slot on my Windows PC and Android phone.
Maximum Win
You can wager as little as âŹ0.10 up to âŹ25. With the maximum bet, you can win up to âŹ250,000 if you hit the highest multiplier of 10,000x.
Conclusion
Mighty Mask slot uses its masks and Mystery symbols to create a truly exciting game. If it werenât for its Mystery symbol mechanic, this would just be another slot, albeit with a great design and soundtrack.
During Free Spins, youâre going to potentially make your money back, and the Multiplier wheel is going to help you do that.
The game isnât particularly complicated, so I would say even beginner players can get into it. And of course, the top prize of âŹ250,000 will attract slot veterans too.
