Money Train 5 Slot Review
After a late night “on the town” I fell asleep on the last commuter train 🚍 home and woke up in an empty car, parked at the very end of the line. The station was an empty platform in the middle of nowhere, a vending machine, and a bench.
I’m being completely honest when I say the conductor was even more surprised to see me than I was to see him.
He sent me back on a "service" train, and I rode the whole way next to a guy with a cello 🎻 case on his lap. I still don't know why the cello didn't get its own seat.
The armored locomotive in Money Train 5 slot by Relax is a lot harder to sleep through.
Gameplay
A scratched, rusted armored train carries the reels in its side, with a hazy skyline of smokestacks and cooling towers behind it, so nobody's riding for the scenery.
The action plays out on a 5x4 grid with 40 paylines, and the Skeleton Cowboy leads the paytable at 20x for 5-of-a-kind, ahead of the Armored Soldier, Sombrero Soldier, and Blonde Assassin at 10x, 9x, and 8x, respectively.
The card suits take care of the lower end, with the Spade, Heart, Club, and Diamond symbols paying 5x, 4x, 3.5x, and 3x, respectively.
The Wild matches the Skeleton Cowboy at 20x and fills in for every symbol except Bonus symbols.
Here's a quick look at the stats before we move on: a 96.1% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate., high volatility, a 50,000x max multiplier, and a $250,000 max win. Fiat currencies are the only ones accepted.
Features
NUCLEAR WILD
Crosshairs can pick out up to 5 reels on any spin and plant Nuclear Bomb symbols on them. If a Bomb makes it into a winning combination, it expands into a full Wild reel that counts as 4 positions.
FREE SPINS
It takes 3 or more Bonus symbols to trigger Free Spins, and each of them reveals a value between 1x and 10x. You get 3 spins to start, and each new symbol that lands resets the counter.
The round ends when you run out of spins, or the second the values on the reels add up to 50,000x, which is the win cap and pays out right there.
If a Ticket Master symbol helps trigger the round, you get Super Free Spins instead, and the train jumps straight to Station 15 before a single spin.
Train Stations
Ticket symbols carry a +1 to +5, and they shove the reels to the left by that many steps. Each reel that falls off the grid pushes the train up a station and drops its values into the total win.
Reaching Station 5 unlocks persistent symbols, which repeat their effect on every spin, and Station 10 adds a 5th row. Station 15 brings in the Bomber and Pyromancer symbols, and Station 20 unlocks the Permanent Payer symbol.
Special Symbols
Special symbols reveal a value and then take their turn from the top row down and from left to right, with Tickets always going last. Collector symbols add up the values on the reels, and Payer symbols hand a fresh value to every other symbol.
Sniper symbols pick out 3 to 8 other symbols and double their values, while Absorber symbols clear the regular Bonus symbols off the reels.
The Arms Dealer symbol converts 1 to 4 Bonus symbols into special symbols, and the Necromancer symbol does what the name suggests, bringing back 1 or 2 special symbols that already acted.
ULTRA MODE
Flip the Game Modes toggle from Standard to Ultra and the win cap jumps from 50,000x to 100,000x. Ultra mode comes with its own versions of Free Spins, the Buy Bonus, and the Ante BetAn Ante Bet is an option that costs a percentage of your bet but increases your chances of landing triggering symbols that initiate a feature..
BUY BONUS AND ANTE BET
The Buy Bonus menu has 4 options: Free Spins for 100x, Ultra Free Spins for 250x, Super Free Spins for 500x, and Ultra Super Free Spins for 2,000x.
Both Super versions kick off at Station 15.
In markets that offer them, Bonus Reels cost 10x, or 25x in Ultra mode. Only Bonus symbols land on those reels, which makes Free Spins far easier to trigger.
The Ante BetAn Ante Bet is an option that costs a percentage of your bet but increases your chances of landing triggering symbols that initiate a feature., which the game calls Enhanced Spin, adds 50% to your bet and more than doubles your chance of triggering Free Spins.
Performance
The armored train rattled through a long session without a single freeze, stall, or glitch. I wish my old commuter line had been as reliable.
Maximum Win
The $250,000 max win is yours to keep when you land the 50,000x max multiplier on a $5 top bet. If $5 a spin feels steep, you can bet as low as $0.10.
Conclusion
The paytable wins won't carry you far, with the Skeleton Cowboy and the Wild topping out at 20x for 5, so the real money lives in Free Spins, where Payer, Collector, and Sniper symbols stack values on top of each other.
Do the math and even all 40 paylines paying the top symbol at once only adds up to 800x, miles short of the max multiplier. Getting there takes a Free Spins round where persistent symbols keep stacking values until the total hits the cap, and the base game can't help with that.

Every Buy Bonus option returns just 0.4 points more than the base game, so the pricier tiers pay for a deeper start or a higher win cap with no extra return on top. I'd grab the cheapest Free Spins buy and leave the other 3 on the shelf.
