More Unusual Suspects Slot Review

Sometimes having a twin can mean getting away with a crime. Check out these two examples.

Brothers Charles and George Finn bought a WWII-era plane in 1952 and hid it in the Nevada desert because the government told them the school district they bought it from wasn’t allowed to sell it. ✈️

The FBI recovered the craft and arrested the brothers, but they were released after a witness couldn’t identify the twin who flew the plane. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Something similar happened in Germany in 2009 when a set of twins escaped prosecution after raiding a store and stealing €5 million. 💎

Despite doing DNA tests, the coppers couldn’t determine which brother had committed the crime, so both were released even though the jewelry remained missing.

There are no twins in the lineup of More Unusual Suspects slot from Quickfire, but there is a lot of money 💰 to be made with far less risk than hitting a store or hiding planes from the FBI.

Gameplay

It’s a busy little screen we’ve got going on here. There’s a cityscape in the background, a 5-reel grid with a meter above it in the foreground, and Jackpots to the left that offer the following:

  • 20x for the Mini Jackpot
  • 75x for the Minor Jackpot
  • 1,000x for the Major Jackpot
  • 5,000x for the Grand Jackpot

Scoot over to the Features section if you can’t wait to discover how to win these. That’s also where you’ll learn about the Buy Bonus and Gamble featureThis feature allows you to gamble your current winnings. It usually takes the form of guessing what color and/or suit a facedown card will reveal itself to be. A correct guess on the color pays 2x, while a correct guess of the color and suit pays 4x your bet. you’ll see to the right of the grid.

There are two types of Wilds in this game; one is golden and the other is silver. They both display a shady-looking character who looks like he’s spent too much time in the hoosegow.

Wilds appear in both the base game and the Free Spins round. Golden Wilds trigger the Exploding Wilds feature and will spawn additional Wilds (not golden ones) or another Golden Wild.

Wilds replace all symbols that aren’t Scatters or the Detective symbol.

Here’s a quick rundown of the important stuff before we head over to the features. There are 20 paylines on this medium-volatility game. The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
is 96.06%
, the max multiplier is a stunning 15,000x, and the top payout is $225,000.

You’ll need to play with fiat currency, just not the Japanese yen or Russian ruble m’kay?

Features

WILD STICKY FRAMES:

Whenever a Wild of any sort lands on the reels, it leaves a sticky frame behind that carries a 1x multiplier. These multipliers can go up to 5x as additional Wilds land on the same spot.

DETECTIVE WILD BONUS:

Landing a Detective symbol will populate all Sticky Frames with Wilds. If the Sticky Frames’ multiplier lands on a winning payline, it will be applied to the win. The Detective Wild can land in the base game and the Free Spins round.

NUDGING RE-SPINS:

Landing 2 Scatters on the top 3 rows triggers the Nudging Re-spins feature. Now, any reel with a Scatter on it will hold and nudge down by 1 row while the others spin.

Nudging Re-spins continue until a Scatter reaches the bottom row, or until you land 5 Scatters. Tokens are added to the Bonus Perk Bar after each Re-spin.

BONUS PERK BAR:

I mentioned a horizontal meter above the reels – this is the Bonus Perk Bar. You fill it by landing Scatters (2 Scatters fill one token, and 50 tokens fill the bar).

Once you’ve done that, an extra Bonus Perk will be added to the Free Spins round at the start. Once you use this perk, the bar progress resets.

FREE SPINS:

When the Free Spins round starts and you’ve scored a Bonus Perk, this is how it plays out. You’ll be asked to choose one of the 5 suspects in a line-up and doing so reveals one of the following:

Boost Perk: Unlocks the first Big Boss (I’ll explain this below) and awards 5 extra spins with a 2x multiplier

  • +2 Spins: Awards 2 additional spins. Duh
    • Frames: A random number of frames are added to the grid
    • Wilds: A random number of Wilds are added
    • Detective: More Detective symbols are added

Uncovering a red “X” means you didn’t score a perk and the suspect pick ends. Free Spins will start after your pick or after you see the “X”.

Free Spins are triggered when you land 3, 4, or 5 Scatters and you’ll be awarded 10, 15, or 20 spins, respectively.

Each Detective symbol highlights a position on the meter above the reels, which displays Big Bosses, multipliers, and additional spins. As far as the Bosses go:

  • The goateed dude with an eye patch awards 5 more spins and a 2x multiplier
  • The goateed dude with curly hair awards 5 more spins and a 3x multiplier
  • The goateed dude with glasses awards 5 more spins with a 5x multiplier
  • The goateed dude awards 5 more spins and a 10x multiplier

The meter will reset once you get to the end of the Bonus Perk Bar.

You can also be awarded a Getaway Spin after the last Free Spin when you land a symbol in the form of a bunch of dynamite with a timer.

JACKPOTS:

Now we get to how to win the various Jackpots. You’ll need to land a Gold Bar – which gets collected in a vault – to randomly trigger the Jackpot round. You’ll pick from a bunch of vaults and revealing 3 of the same Jackpot results in you scoring its prize.

Jackpots can be triggered in both the base game and the Free Spins round.

BUY BONUS:

Buy your way into the Free Spins round for 100x your bet.

GAMBLE ROUND:

You can opt to Gamble for a chance at Free Spins for 50x your bet, and your chances are 50-50. What you’ll see is a circle that’s half red and half green; you’ll want the pointer to spin and land on the green segment.

Performance

I had no issues with the performance of More Unusual Suspects slot.

Maximum Win

With a kick-ass 15,000x multiplier, you’ll only need to bet $15 per spin for a shot at the $225,000 payout. Or you can bet from as little as $0.10.

Conclusion

Whew! There’s a lot going on in this game which might put newbies off, but it’s sure to entice players like me who hate to be bored and appreciate a little novelty.

I had some success using the Gamble featureThis feature allows you to gamble your current winnings. It usually takes the form of guessing what color and/or suit a facedown card will reveal itself to be. A correct guess on the color pays 2x, while a correct guess of the color and suit pays 4x your bet., which saved me from spending the full 100x on triggering the Free Spins round.

And Free Spins is where you wanna be because that’s where you can score the Jackpots, and that, in conjunction with the sticky frames and their multipliers, Wilds, and Bosses, can see you well rewarded.

More Unusual Suspects slot sits atop some solid stats, so this is definitely a game worth exploring – especially given the generous potential payout vs the volatility rate.
