Mysterious Slot Review
Step back in time to where I can only assume is England when the Black Plague went as viral as a Kardashian’s new hairstyle. I’m assuming it is called Mysterious because of the 3 Characters in the game being ghosts but it’s no mystery as to what happened to them… they died.
Gameplay
Mysterious is a 4x4 reel, 256 up to 4096 ways slot powered by Pragmatic Play software. The symbols include Card Suits Diamonds, Clubs, Hearts and Spades, heads of a Bull, Lion, Owl and Ram. Special symbols include 3 different Character Wilds and Free Spins Scatters that trigger the Free Spins Feature. There are also 3 different Random Modes of Play. More detail will be provided in the Features section.
Controls are located at the bottom of the reels. Starting from the left you will find a System Settings icon (3 horizontal lines), below that a Mute button and next to that an Information icon with the pay table. On the bottom right is your Spin button with Autoplay below it and Bet increase and decrease buttons.
Features and Unique Features
The features in Mysterious includes 3 different Character Wilds, Free Spins Scatter that triggers the Free Spins Feature and 3 different Random Modes of Play.
Side note: If you are familiar with our reviews you will instantly notice that the Features and Unique Feature sections are combined in this review as a unique feature in this game needs to be mentioned first in order to proceed to the rest of the features for them to make sense.
Mysterious has 3 unique game modes that are linked to the 3 different Wilds. The game modes are triggered at random during the base game according to the character they represent who each have their own Wild:
The Lord Character Wild: substitutes for all symbols except for the other 2 Character Wilds and the Free Spins Scatter. The Lord Character Wild symbol awards a multiplier of 2x or 3x.
The Lady Character Wild: substitutes for all symbols except the other 2 Character Wilds and the Free Spins Scatter. The Lady Character Wild can expand to award a mystery stacked symbol.
The Baron Character Wild: substitutes for all symbols except the other 2 Character Wilds and the Free Spins Scatter. The Baron Character Wild infects nearby symbols vertically by changing them into wilds.
Land 3 or more Free Spins Scatters to trigger the Free Spins Feature with up
to 12 Free Spins. The reel layout changes to 6 reels and 4,096 ways. Before
the feature begins you get to choose between 2 Free Spin modes:
Locking Multiplier Free Spins: land Clock symbols for a random multiplier value
of up to 12x. Landing 2 clock symbols
will add 2 more free spins with the multiplier
locked.
Resurrecting Roaming Wilds Free Spins: landing any Wild symbols fade away after each free spin and roam the reels.
Performance
Pragmatic Play delivers outstanding graphics, effects and animations once again. The multiple features enhance the game experience and adds to paying out decently (after a lot of patience). The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. is at 96.5% with high volatility.
Max Win
The max coin win is 20000.
Conclusion
Mysterious is a wonderfully eerie slot that forces you to make contact with the other side. Great features and simply understood gameplay adds to the appeal, although, the volatility is high which may be off putting for a lot of players. I think the Baron has just asked me for a cup of tea.
