Mystery Mission to the Moon Slot Review

The main character in Mystery Mission to the Moon slot from Push Gaming reminds me of Buzz Lightyear. And interestingly, Buzz was also swathed in red – at least initially.

Buzz, whose name was inspired by Apollo 11 astronaut “Buzz” Aldrin, was named Luna Larry before the producers thankfully deemed that moniker too whacky.

And as a final piece of trivia, did you know that Buzz’s famous quote “To infinity and beyond” was actually the title of a book written in 1991 by Eli Maor? Well, now you know. No need to thank me.

Gameplay

Push Gaming has created a stellar space, filled with astronauts, aliens, robots, ray guns, and other paraphernalia that are out of this world.

And if you thought the game looked phenomenal on a laptop, check it out in portrait mode on your phone. It’s eye-wateringly stunning! The 6x4-reel grid dominates, and the controls are clean and sparse. The use of white for the latter also helps them not to be a distraction.

The Wild moon symbol replaces all others, except for the Mystery Stack symbol. And the Wild is also a Scatter.

Under the skin are 20 fixed paylines, an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
of 96.25%, and a high volatility rate. Unsurprisingly, or mercifully – whichever way you choose to see it – the max win is a planet obliterating €300,000.

When it comes to the currency you can use on Mystery Mission to the Moon slot, that’s limited to fiat, with the exception of the Polish złoty. It seems the aliens hate it as much as crypto.

Features

MYSTERY STACKS:

Remember I mentioned the Mystery Stack symbols? Well, Mystery Stacks are a bunch of these symbols that can land anywhere on the reels.

They look like spaceship doors and landing 3 or more during the base game will see them nudge until they fill the reel.

At this point, and if there’s a winning combo, they’ll turn gold in color and a random symbol (just not the Scatter Wild) will be selected. Then, all the symbols on the stacked reel will turn into this symbol.

Landing 3 or more Mystery Stacks (in other words, 3 fully stacked reels with these symbols) will award wins on all 20 paylines.

FREE SPINS:

You’ll light a rocket under this feature once you land 3 or more Wild Moon Wild Scatters. If 3 Wild Scatters touch down, they’ll award 8 Free Spins, while 4, 5, or 6 of em award 10, 12, or 14 spins.

Any Mystery Stacks that land now will nudge to fill their respective reels, where they’ll stay for the duration of the Free Spins round. They’ll also award an extra spin. Other than that, they act as I’ve described earlier.

BUY BONUS:

You can purchase a variety of Scatter Wilds (from 3 to 6) for 102x, 161x, 237x, or 332x, and that means Free Spins, yo. There’s also a 200x option that awards a random number of Scatter Wilds, so it’s a bit of a gamble. Which is what we’re here for, not so?

ANTE BET:

This option will cost you 25% of your stake and increases your chances of landing Scatter Wilds.

Performance

So, once again I had an issue with Chrome, where I got a server error. The thing is, I’ve been battling with this browser today, and it may be a problem with my setup.

Safari, on my laptop and phone, worked almost perfectly but at some stage, I got the same message as well. But mercifully only one. Hopefully, you won’t break things like I tend to.

Maximum Win

If you bet at the maximum of €30, you’ll be able to shoot for the moon and the €300,000 top prize. You can still bet from as little as €0.10 though. The max multiplier is a big brute, weighing in at 10,000x.

Conclusion

I quite enjoyed Mystery Mission to the Moon slot, but the thing is it became super tedious over time. You can sit through loads of spins and just stare into space, with the only distraction being the occasional Mystery Stacks.

If you’re not messed up in the head like me, with this constant need for stimulation, then I’m sure it’ll be fine. And the stats are solid, after all. And you can play the game on the go. So, it’s not like it doesn’t have positives going for it.
