Penguin Heist Slot Review
One March night in 1990, two men dressed as police officers 🚓 rang the buzzer at Boston's Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and said they were checking out a disturbance.
And the guards let them in, and it went about as well as you'd expect.
About an hour and 20 minutes later, they left with 13 works, including a Vermeer and a Rembrandt 🖼️, worth around $500 million. None of it has been recovered.
Penguin Heist slot from Games Global hands the same job to a crew of penguins 🐧, with a vault, a museum, and a getaway car to work with.

Gameplay
Gold columns frame the reels on a purple and blue city street at night, with padlocked chests along the bottom and a purple convertible kicking up smoke on the left, so the crew plans to leave fast.
The game has a 5x4 grid with 20 paylines, and wins pay from left to right on adjacent reels, starting with the leftmost reel, and only the highest win on each payline is paid. The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. is 96.01% and the volatility is high.
The max multiplier is 5,000x and the max win is $200,000, with bets from $0.20 to $40. This is a fiat currency only game, except for the Japanese yen.
Four Jackpots sit to the left of the reels: Mini (10x), Minor (25x), Major (250x), and Mega (2,500x). Every jackpot coin that lands adds 1x to its tier, up to 25x, 100x, 500x, and 5,000x, respectively.
The 3 top paying Penguin symbols pay 10x, 4x, and 3x for 5-of-a-kind, respectively. The Car symbol pays 2.5x and the Binoculars symbol pays 2x.
The low-paying A, K, Q, and J symbols pay 1x each for 5-of-a-kind.
The Wild, Wild Burst, and Multiplier Wild symbols substitute for every other pay symbol, except the Key, Jackpot, and Bonus symbols. If a winning line starts with a Wild it awards the highest-paying combination.

Features
WILD BURST FEATURE:
During the base game, a counter above the reels counts down spins and activates upgrades: Respin after 50 spins, No Low after 100, Wild Stacks after 150, and Wild Multiplier after 200.
Land a Wild Burst symbol and a random unlocked upgrade triggers, and a golden zone where all symbols turn into Wild symbols is added to the reels.
Regular Vault and Double Vault symbols can land from the start, and the Double Vault triggers another Wild Burst symbol and golden zone.
The Respin upgrade locks the Wilds and the winning symbols and spins everything else again. The No Low upgrade removes low-paying symbols on the reels, setting off a symbol CascadeOtherwise known as a Tumble, Avalanche, or whatever a studio sees fit to name it. The idea is the same, though; winning symbols get removed, and new ones take their place. This action could result in additional wins, in which case the action continues..
The Wild Stacks upgrade turns 1 to 3 reels holding Wilds into full stacks. The Wild Multiplier upgrades Wilds to 2x to 10x, which are added together if they're part of the same winning combination.
UPZONES LOCKNWIN FEATURE:
Whenever Bonus symbols land, they're collected by the 4 pots above the reels labeled Museum, Jeweller, Bank, and Mansion. Whenever a Bonus symbol is collected, it can randomly set off that pot's round.
The pots award 3, 4, 5, and 6 spins with 3, 4, 5, and 6 UpZones, respectively.
At the start of the round, an additional row is added above the grid, and Diamond symbols worth 0.5x to 100x show up only here. Land a Diamond on an UpZone and the top row spins and a new UpZone opens.
The top row can land on Collect, which collects every Diamond, or Boost, which adds 1x to 25x to every Diamond. It can also land on Multiplier, which multiplies a random Diamond by 2x to 100x, or Spin, which adds 2 or 3 spins.
Multiplier doesn't multiply Diamonds more than once.
Landing on a Jackpot symbol in the top row triggers the Jackpot feature. The round ends when every position fills or the spins run out.
Gamble:
Before the round, you can choose to gamble it on a wheel of pots and chains. A pot bumps you up a tier, and a chain ends the round with nothing and sends you back to the base game.
The odds of moving up are 57.85% from Museum, 59.71% from Jeweller, and 66.54% from Bank. Mansion can't be gambled.

BONUS WHEEL:
Landing a Key symbol on every reel awards a spin on a wheel that awards 1 of the 4 rounds. Keys are collected over several spins, and more than 1 can land at once.
JACKPOT FEATURE:
Jackpot coins only land in the base game, and each one increases its jackpot and gives you a chance at the Jackpot wheel.
The wheel awards 1 of the 4 jackpots, and the one it pays resets to its starting value. It triggers once even if several coins land.
BUY BONUS:
Buy Bonus sells the Museum, Jeweller, Bank, and Mansion rounds for 36.48x, 62.49x, 104.13x, and 156.5x, respectively, plus a Mystery option with a random 3 to 6 spins and UpZones for 42.12x.
The buy works in the base game only and disappears above a certain bet size.
Performance
I ran the slot through Wild Burst triggers and UpZones rounds, and it never froze or stuttered once.
Maximum Win
The game can pay a max win of $200,000 if you hit the max multiplier of 5,000x at the top bet of $40. The smallest bet you can place is $0.20.
Conclusion
The slot's money sits in the UpZones round, where a Multiplier or Boost landing on the right Diamonds does all the heavy lifting. Base-game line wins stay small, so the pots and the Keys are what to watch.
The max multiplier matches the cap on the Mega Jackpot, and that tier only climbs there after 2,500 jackpot coins land on it, so I'd call it a lottery ticket.
Getting there with Diamonds takes a full board of big ones, since a single Diamond tops out at 2,000x before any Boost.
The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. makes it a longer session game, and the max multiplier fits the volatility, which you don't always see, so kudos to the studio.
The Gamble trades a sure round for a 58% to 67% shot at a higher tier with almost the same return, so it only adds swings and I'd pass on it.
There's no Ante BetAn Ante Bet is an option that costs a percentage of your bet but increases your chances of landing triggering symbols that initiate a feature., so the Buy Bonus is the only shortcut, and every option returns almost exactly what the base game does.
The Museum buy is cheapest per spin, and the Mansion buy costs more than twice as much per spin for the same return.
I'd take the Mystery buy over the Museum buy, since the low end matches at 3 spins and UpZones and the high end doubles it for just 5.64x more.
Big-bankroll players who like a Diamond hunt are the target, and low-bet players who want frequent mid-size wins should pass.
