One of my favorite clips from a TV📺 show was from Steven Fry’s travel program, Last Chance to See. He visited New Zealand to find this flightless green parrot🦜 called a kākāpō, but I much prefer the other name it has, moss chicken😆!

They come across a parrot, and due to its rarity and lack of natural predators, it displays no fear towards humans. In fact, it walks up to one of the production crew members who happens to be wearing a green jersey and attempts to mate with his head🤣.

Every time I come across the clip on the internet, I die laughing. I also found myself laughing quite a bit at the birds in Pirots 3 slot from ELK Studios.

Gameplay

Finally, we have the 3rd installment of the Pirots adventures around the amusement park in which they live.

Each area of the park is themed, and this time, we’re in the Wild West! The 4 Parrot Collector symbols are attired appropriately for the environment.

You play on a 7x6 game matrix, where a red, pink, green, and blue parrot can move around to collect color-matching Gems and feature symbols. Yup, this is a collector game.

Symbols are collected and removed from the grid; any remaining symbols drop down, allowing new symbols to drop in. All 4 Parrots are on the reels, even after they shoot and kill each other or get blown up by dynamite.

This game introduces a brand new character, a rather evil-looking vulture in a cage next to the reels. You can learn more about it in the Bandits feature.

The gem values can be upgraded up to 7 times whenever a Parrot collects an Upgrade symbol. There are 2 types of Upgrades: a silver horseshoe that can upgrade the payout level by 1, 2, or 3 levels of the same colored gems as the Parrot that collected it.

Then there is the gold horseshoe, that upgrades all the gems by 1, 2, or 3 levels, regardless of which Parrot collected them.

Coin symbols, when collected by the Parrots, award instant cash prizes. A Wild symbol substitutes for any Gems at their current payout level, and a black Wild symbol stands in for the highest-paying Gem.

There are 2 dynamite symbols that explode after being collected, which removes up to 8 surrounding symbols and expands the grid up to 8x7.

When collected, the Peanut symbol adds peanuts to all the empty grid spaces, enabling each Parrot to cross empty space once to reach additional clusters of symbols.

There is also a rum just that acts as a Transform symbol, which changes a cluster of gems next to the Parrot that collected it to the same color. It can also convert a random number of symbols into feature symbols.

There are numerous features in this game that you can trigger, but before I delve into them, here are some essential game stats you should be aware of.

The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

GUNSLINGER FEATURE

Whenever 2 Parrots appear next to each other, there is a random chance that the Gunslinger feature will trigger, and if 3 Parrots appear next to each other, the Gunslinger feature is guaranteed to happen.

The parrots involved move apart and shoot at each other. In a humorous animation, they eliminate each other from the grid. But don’t worry; the Parrots drop in on the very next symbol cascade.

BANDITS FEATURE

Whenever a Parrot collects a Key symbol, the vulture is released from its cage, and it lands in a random position on the reels when the Parrots can no longer collect any new symbols.

TRAIN HEIST FEATURE

On the first and last reels, there are 2 or 4 positions marked with a little train symbol. If one of the Parrots collects a symbol from that position, it triggers the Train Heist feature.

If there is a collectable symbol in the other marked position, the same Parrot will hop into the train, collect 1, 2, or 3 of the same symbol it collected, and travel around the track to the opposite side of the reels.

COIN GAME

The Coin Game is triggered when you manage to clear the grid of symbols.

All the birds hop on the train and move to the top of the reels where they attempt to lasso Coin bags or Scorpions that drop down onto the reels.

The Coin Bags contain multipliers, which you apply to your bet level to determine a prize and then add to your total prize for the round. If a Parrot lassos a scorpion, they die and are out of the game. The game continues until all the Parrots catch a scorpion.

You’re awarded your prize and returned to the base game.

BONUS GAME

You'll enter the Bonus Game and receive 5 Free Drops if the Parrots manage to collect 3 Bonus symbols during a base game spin and subsequent symbol cascades.

The grid size, symbol collection progress on the symbol collection meter, the collection of additional Bonus symbols, and the payout level of the Gems all carry over into the round.

Performance

I spent hours on Pirots 3 slot, and I didn’t encounter any glitches or issues.

Maximum Win

You can bet from $0.20 to $20. The best possible multiplier is 10,000x, which can lead to the game’s top prize of $200,000.

Conclusion

I was a huge fan of Pirots and Pirots 2 due to their crazy mechanics and features, and the Pirots 3 slot maintained the same level of fun and excitement.

The Parrots interacting with each other and the Feature symbols are hilariously animated. Every death is amusing. I also liked that they added a 5th character, the Vulture who acts sort of like a Wild Collector.

Upgrading your Gem symbols is fairly easy, and the higher-value gems mean bigger wins without having to collect as many. At the 7th and final level, the highest-paying symbol pays 30x your bet.

I will say that triggering any of this game’s features is a challenge. You have to rely on the right color Gems and Parrots landing in the position that facilitates collecting Bonus symbols, which doesn’t happen very often.

The Feature symbols are useful, especially the Peanut symbol, which allows your Parrots to move around the reels to collect more symbols.

Because the Bonus and Coin Game are so difficult to line up, I would have really appreciated an Ante BetAn Ante Bet is an option that costs a percentage of your bet but increases your chances of landing triggering symbols that initiate a feature. or Buy Bonus option, but that is only a minor criticism. I still really love this game and highly recommend you give it a try.
