I've always been entranced by magic tricks and love to see a good show. A few months ago at a coffee shop, a bloke levitated in front of me. Afterward, I read about how it's done (“the Balducci technique”) but no matter how much I practiced, I couldn't get it right.
These masters of illusion have a gift – there are no two ways about it and through the years they've performed some dazzling feats:

• David Blaine was encased in ice for almost three days.

• David Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty disappear. He managed to top that by levitating across the Grand Canyon!

• Penn and Tellers well documented (and audited) bullet catching trick.

• Finally, again we have the king of magic David Copperfield, managing to teleport himself and a spectator to Hawaii!

Now we all know that those are tricks – but they're still friggin awesome!
A somewhat less successful magician is featured in Presto, a Habanero video slot designed to enthrall via PC, mobile device or tablet. (In fact, he looks downright untrustworthy, but we'll give him a chance.) There's a classic feel to this game and it was like I was watching a magic show taking place in the 40's or 50's. Corny and simple, but supremely entertaining.

Gameplay

Presto is a medium volatility 5 reel and 243 payline slot. Standard symbols include a blonde assistant, rabbit, doves, magic box, cards, hat and face card letters. There is a wild sign, which can substitute for all symbols, except the scatter, which is the crystal ball.
The controls are ornately embedded into the game screen, with a line of feathers up top, intriguingly measuring the “Illusion Countdown.” Patience, we'll chat about that later.
Below the reels are Info, Bet, Bet Level, Bet Max, Spin, Autoplay, Coin Value and Total Coins. Further down are Settings (including Quickspin), Balance, Bet and Win amounts.

The number of feathers indicates how many spins are remaining until the next illusion is triggered. Can you feel the anticipation?

Performance

Graphics and animation in Presto would be superb in an animated film but are downright spectacular in a slot. Everything about them breathes quality and it's clear that there's immense attention to detail. The music and sound effects keep the game flowing nicely without impeding gameplay.
Performance wise it was magical – with not a single problem.

Conclusion

What a performance from Presto! It'll dazzle and amaze you no end! OK – maybe I'm a bit hyperbolic, but this is a top-notch video slot. It's got so many features that I was pretty much glued to the screen, waiting to see what happens next.
