Queen of Rio Slot Review

Rio is known as a party city, and boy does it live up to the expectations. I visited Rio on a girl’s trip in 2011, and to be completely honest with you, all I remember is landing at the airport and arriving back home. The rest of the holiday is a complete blur, but I’m sure it was wild. Rio is the home of Bossa Nova, beach bods, the Brazilian butt lift, and people so beautiful you think you’re looking at angels. What’s not to like?

Gameplay

Queen of Rio is a 5-reel, 20-payline video slot powered by software from EGT Interactive. This slot is all about having a good time, and it entirely lives up to expectations. Symbols include a man playing the bongos, a man playing the maracas, a man playing the trumpet, a pineapple cocktail, a feather crown hat, and a Dipladenia - the flower of Rio. The Wild is represented by a female Carnival dancer, while the Rio beachfront acts as the Scatter. EGT controls are relatively straightforward, but let’s run through them just in case you’re like me and lose all of your memories when thinking about Rio. On the bottom left of the reels, you’ll find your balance, while on the bottom right you’ll see your wins. To set your coin value and your bet, you’ll have to click on the buttons below the reels. To spin the reels, all you have to do is click on your desired bet which will act as a ‘start’ button.

Features

So, what features can you expect from Queen of Rio?
Gamble: To increase your winnings, you can click on the ‘gamble’ button, triggered after a winning round. All you have to do is guess whether the face-down card is black or red. Guess right, and you’ll double your winnings, but get it wrong, and you’ll be sent back to the base game empty-handed.
Wild: Substitutes for all symbols except Scatter.

Unique Features

Rio is a unique city, so this slot has features to match:

• Free Spins: Landing three Scatter symbols on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels, will trigger 15 Free Spins and turn the Wild stacked. This feature can be re-triggered.

• Jackpot Cards Mystery: A randomly triggered bonus that is activated when a Jackpot Cards stamped game is played. Each of the mystery jackpots is represented by one of the four suits: clubs, spades, diamonds, and hearts. You’ll have to pick 3 matching cards from a pick-field of 12 to be rewarded with the corresponding suits jackpot.

Performance

Queen of Rio performs fantastically. It has fun graphics, a funky soundtrack that’ll get you grooving, and is available on any device. Two thumbs up from me!

Conclusion

Overall, Queen of Rio offers something for everyone. It’s fun, flashy and an all around good time. I know I’ll be returning to it (both the game and the city) as soon as I can, and so will you.
