Ra’s Reckoning Slot Review

Apophis, or Apep to his friends, is the Ancient Egyptian serpent 🐍 of chaos, darkness, and evil. Each night, he tries to eat Ra’s solar barge as it travels through the Underworld. It’s an ongoing struggle, much like the way my belt struggles to hold back the tide of my waistline.

I feel sorry for Apep. People feared him and built no temples in his honor, nor did they worship him. They just cast spells 🧙🏻 to rid themselves of His Scaliness.

Everyone was all Lady Gaga about the sun 🌞 god (ra-ra-ah-ah-ah), so much so that Play'n Go has even named this game after him: Ra’s Reckoning slot.

Gameplay

Alright! The opening sequence to Ra’s Reckoning slot has gods and creatures duking it out, graphic novel style. Then we get to the main screen, where Ra is chillin’ to the right of the 6x5 grid. My boi is clenching his fists, so maybe he’s not as chill as he seems.

The design is kick-ass cool, the colors pop, and it’s just such a cool take on a theme that was done to deal decades ago already, that I have to applaud the studio.

The grid’s square-ish format hints at the fact that this is a Cluster PaysUnlike traditional paylines, Cluster Pays can award wins when a minimum number of matching symbols land adjacent to each other (vertically or horizontally), forming a cluster. game. You need to land 5 or more matching symbols and they need to be touching horizontally and/or vertically. Winning symbols are removed in a CascadeOtherwise known as a Tumble, Avalanche, or whatever a studio sees fit to name it. The idea is the same, though; winning symbols get removed, and new ones take their place. This action could result in additional wins, in which case the action continues. (known as a Mega Drop) and replaced by new ones.

The Wild replaces all symbols that aren’t Scatters or these symbols triggered by Ra’s Blessing: Coins, Jars, or Clash symbols. Wilds can contribute to multiple winning combos at the same time.

I’ll describe some of these special symbols in the Features section where they’re more relevant. And also because we’ll probably forget what they do by the time we get there.

As for symbol payouts, the one that pays the most is the Eye of Horus (100x for 13 or more), followed by the Scarab and Ankh (50x for 13 or more). Then it’s down to 25x for 13 or more of the Cat and Lotus before we get to the lower-paying symbols.

The rest of the stats look like this:

  • RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
    : 96.20%
  • Volatility RateSlot games can have low, medium, high, or extremely high volatility rates (or a combination thereof).

The less volatile the game, the more often it should pay out, but the lower the amount, the less the payout, as this is in keeping with the risk you’re taking. Volatility rate should be considered in conjunction with a game’s RTP.

Features

DIVINE FRAMES:

Once you’ve scored a winning combo, the square that the winning symbols sit on becomes a highlighted special frame. Frames progress like so: from bronze to silver and gold (you get better rewards as you go).

And how do you move up through the frame ranks? By forming an additional win over an existing frame during the CascadeOtherwise known as a Tumble, Avalanche, or whatever a studio sees fit to name it. The idea is the same, though; winning symbols get removed, and new ones take their place. This action could result in additional wins, in which case the action continues. feature.

If a Ra’s Blessing symbol is on the grid after all of the winning combos have been awarded, the frames will reveal bronze, silver, and gold Coins, respectively.

Coins award cash prizes with the help of multipliers like so:

  • Bronze Coins: 0.2x, 0.3x, 0.5x, or 1x.
  • Silver Coins: 2x, 3x, or 5x.
  • Gold Coins: 10x, 20x, or 25x.

You can also reveal Jars and Clash symbols in each of the three types of frames.

The Divine Frames reset after each new spin.

RA’S BLESSING:

Ra’s symbol can hit during any spin, but only once per spin. When he lands, Ra will transform symbols on all of the Divine Frames into bronze, silver, and gold Coins. Plus, some symbols could turn into Jars and Clash symbols.

If there are no frames when Ra lands, well then, he can take some time off. He does sail across the heavens each day in a boat, and that can be exhausting.

CLASH SYMBOLS:

You get these symbols when Divine Frames are activated by Ra’s Blessing (the symbol). Clash symbols don’t sing Rock the Casbah or Should I Stay or Should I Go. Instead, they multiply all Coins and Jar symbols on adjacent positions by 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x.

JAR SYMBOLS:

Yeah, these are real, legit Jars, and they also appear when Divine Frames are activated by Ra’s symbol. Jars are collectors, so they grab the multiplier values of Coins or other Jar symbols on the grid.

After this, all Divine Frames will once again activate, and new symbols will be revealed. The process repeats until no more Jars land. At that point, the values of all visible Coins and Jars are added together and multiplied by your bet.

FREE SPINS:

Hitting 3 Scatters (it’s not the Eye of Sauron but Apophis) is what triggers Free Spins. You get 8 spins and all Divine Frames stay sticky until activated by Ra; then they reset.

Nailing 2 more Scatters awards 2 extra spins each time (the maximum Free Spins you can accumulate is 46).

FREE SPINS: DIVINE ECLIPSE:

Nailing 4, 5, or 6 Scatters awards 8, 10, or 12 spins. Divine Frames remain sticky and they can be activated many times. Landing 2 extra Scatters awards 2 more spins; up to a max of 54.

Performance

Loading time wasn’t an issue, nor was the gameplay across my devices.

Maximum Win

The max multiplier is a startling 50,000x. The max win is $250,000, which means you need a bet of $5 to secure it. The smallest bet you can place is $0.30.

Conclusion

Ra’s Reckoning slot is a Cluster PaysUnlike traditional paylines, Cluster Pays can award wins when a minimum number of matching symbols land adjacent to each other (vertically or horizontally), forming a cluster. grinder that concentrates its money-making into the Divine Frames > Ra’s Blessing > Coins/jars/Clash loop (and helped out by Free Spins).

Big-time gamblers might be irritated by the $5 betting cap, but I reckon it’s sweet to pay only 5 bucks to be eligible for a 50,000x payday.

The high-paying symbols pay out handsomely, but you’ll need at least 13 of em to really score, and that’s no easy task. There’s no bonus round, either; it’s just a base game and Free Spins. Nor is there an Ante BetAn Ante Bet is an option that costs a percentage of your bet but increases your chances of landing triggering symbols that initiate a feature. or Buy Bonus to fast-track you into Free Spins.

This game is brutally unforgiving if you don’t have the bankroll to see you through, and it’s also gonna kick you in the nuts if you attempt short sessions.
