Return of the Dead Slot Review

I hate zombies with a passion. Not that I’ve encountered many in the wild - but in theory, I absolutely hate them. It’s not their love of eating brains, or even their rotting flesh, that puts me off - rather, it’s the thought of what they must smell like (I suppose that’s rotting flesh-adjacent). I have an immensely sensitive gag reflex, that is triggered by smells as semi-neutral as dog breath. So, imagine how I’d fare around rotting zombies - not good.

Gameplay

Return of the Dead is a 5-reel, 10-payline slot from Pragmatic Play. Symbols include a pharaoh, Horus, a golden scarab beetle, the explorer, and royal values from 10 to Ace. The Return of the Dead book is important because it acts as both the Wild and the Scatter - but more on that later.

Controls are located below the reels and work as follows: Info, Credit, Bet, Bet -, Spin (hold space for turbo spin), and Bet +.

Features

The Wild symbol substitutes for all others, and also acts as a Scatter.

Unique Features

Land 3 or more Scatters and trigger 10 free spins with a special expanding symbol on the reels.

Performance

Return of the Dead is a pretty epic slot, both in terms of gameplay and aesthetics. While Ancient Egypt-themed slots are horribly overdone, this one is quite lively. Play is available on mobile and desktop devices.

Max Win

The max coin win is 20,000x your stake.

Conclusion

Stinky undead people aside, Return of the Dead is a pretty stellar slot from Pragmatic Play. Luckily for us, we don’t have to smell the stench of the dead - instead we can focus on scoring free spins and earning payouts of up to 20,000x the stake.
