We do a lot of stupid things when we’re young and one incident that stands out in my mind was licking a 9-volt battery. It wasn’t the most dangerous or stupid thing I’ve done, let’s just be honest, but it wasn’t particularly smart. 🔋

The protagonist of today’s review is none other than a lightning bolt-wielding deity. This is Rise of Zeus slot and it comes to us from Belatra Games. ⚡️

Gameplay

I expected to see a toga-clad deity clutching a lightning bolt when I fired this game up. But no; there’s a massive 5-reel 4-row grid flanked by fiery braziers and statues.

That’s when you get a series of Sticky Spins which continues until the sticky symbols or the Wild drops off the grid.

If, during a Sticky Spin, an additional Golden Scatter lands, these will also reveal a random symbol. If that symbol is worth more than the random symbol that the original Golden Scatter revealed, then all of these symbols will convert to the new, higher-paying one.

FREE SPINS:

Landing a Silver or Golden Scatter in the base game fills a spot on the meter above the grid. Fill all 3 spots and you’ll be awarded the Free Spins round with 6 spins. Hmmm, that’s not a lot.

At the start of each round, a Golden Scatter will appear on a random reel position, which will kick-start the Sticky Spin cycle. Each Free Spins round is a Sticky Spins cycle; just as you’d find in the base game.

Landing additional Scatters now will once again fill the meter, and 3 extra spins will be awarded when the meter is full – a maximum of 15 spins will be awarded per Free Spins feature.

BIG ZEUS ABOVE THE REELS:

When you see the pissed-off-looking deity peeking over the reels, that might herald one or more Wild symbols being thrown onto the grid. If this happens during a Sticky Spins cycle, all of the open cells could be filled with Wilds or populated with the current sticky symbol.

BUY BONUS:

Performance
