Normally Christmas movies have a certain warm, family vibe, but one of my all-time favorites is Bad Santa. 🎅🏻 Billy Bob Thornton puts on a legendary performance and for those of you who, for whatever reason, have skipped it…this is the year.
Unfortunately, yet perhaps expected, the sequel didn’t live up to expectations. 🤷🏻 However, I just watched an interview the other day where Billy Bob revealed that for the first time they’ve figured out a great script for a third movie!
Santa’s Vault slot from Push Gaming keeps that classic Christmas vibe… but brace yourself, you might let out a few f-bombs when the big wins hit! 😉
Gameplay
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. The snowflakes are falling, and blue wallpaper with bells printed on it provides the background. A modest 3-reel, 3-row grid is the center of attention, and even the symbols have snow on them.
While low-paying symbols include blueberries, pears, oranges, and strawberries, the high-paying ones are BARs, Double BARs, bells, and 7s.
The Wild only appears in the base game and substitutes for all other symbols except for the Instant Prize symbol, Jackpot symbols, and the Collector symbol. There are dud symbols in play as well, but hopefully they won’t affect your game too much.
Santa’s vault has been placed at the top, and I have to say, I thought it’d be bigger. It has its own feature, explained below.
On the left are all the Jackpots up for grabs: the Mini pays 15x, the Minor 50x, the Mega 100x, and the Grand 500x.

INSTANT PRIZE SYMBOLS
The gold coins are Instant Prize symbols that carry a prize value ranging from 1x to 25x. Coins can only land on reels 1 and 3.

There are also Jackpots for players to hunt, and just like the Instant Prize symbols, they only land on reels 1 and 3.

COLLECTOR SYMBOL
The Collector symbol is the vault and it collects all values on the reels when it lands. It’s in play during both the base game and Bonus game, but only on the middle reel.
If multiple Collector symbols land, all values are collected by all of them. Once the values have been collected, all Instant Prize symbols are removed and replaced with duds.
VAULT BURST
Any Instant Prize symbol, Jackpot symbol, and Collector symbol can be the one to randomly trigger the Vault Burst feature. The vault then bursts and the symbols just mentioned shoot out onto the reels, awarding the Bonus game.
BONUS GAME
When you land at least one Instant Prize symbol or Jackpot symbol on reels 1 and 3, with a Collector symbol on the middle reel, you’ll trigger the Bonus game. It’s a Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too). where you’ll start off with 3 spins, and landing a new symbol resets the count.
The only symbols involved in the Bonus game are Instant Prize, Collector symbols, and duds.
Enhancer Reels
During the Bonus game, there’s an additional 1x3 Enhancer Reel positioned above the others. This is where multipliers and Addition symbols may land.
- Multiplier - Possible values are 2x, 3x, and 5x. When a multiplier lands on reels 1 and/or 3 on the Enhancer Reel, it’s applied to the symbol(s) on the reel below. If it lands on the middle reel, it’s applied to the values in all active Collector symbols.
- Addition symbol - Possible values range from 1x to 100x, and the value is added in the same way as the multiplier.
Performance
When Santa comes to town, everything works perfectly, and so did the game.
