Shinobi Spirit Slot Review
I knew a guy once who was having sexy time with his next-door neighbor. And this story was told to me and a bunch of other guys by the man in question, so bear that in mind.
Anyhoo, as he tells it, he was making the sweet love to this lady in the shower. He was thrusting away like an epileptic watching a strobe light when she uttered those fateful words: “Is it in yet?”
Now he wasn’t in the least bit perturbed because he was having fun and that’s all that mattered. But it made me think that he was probably a ninja; going in all stealthy and emerging victorious before anyone else knew what was happening.
So, on that topic, this is Shinobi Spirit slot from Relax.
Gameplay
The term shinobi refers to a covert agent or mercenary in feudal Japan; better known as a ninja to you and I. But the way that Relax Gaming has imagined this game isn’t what I expected; it’s so much better.
This game is a stunner! Just look at those 3D symbols on the 5 reels and how the grid is superimposed on the landscape; it’s a wonder to behold and so different from any other game.
I also like how they’ve designed the controls; they have the toggles for the betting, the Autoplay, and the hamburger menu in a square formation around the SPIN button. This thing is tight!
The mobile view has the controls spread across the bottom of the screen, but the package is no less impactful for it. The experience of playing Shinobi Spirit slot on a small device is super satisfying.
But that’s not where the good stuff ends. Far from it; you see Shinobi Spirit slot offers a huge win worth €400,000 that comes off of a 20,000x multiplier. And it's even more impressive when you consider that the volatility rate is medium to high.
The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. is 96.26% but will increase to 96.67% when using the Scatter Boost option, and 97.18% during the Shinobi Bonus feature.
There are 26 paylines in this game and the only bad news is that this game accepts fiat currency but no Japanese yen or crypto.
The Scatter symbol is an Oni mask and landing 4 of them will award a prize of 20x, while 5 Scatters awards 100x. Other high-paying symbols include a dragon, some bamboo, a lantern, and a barrel.
Features
BAMBOO POWER:
Landing our ninja friend on reel 5 in the base game will see him slashing at any bamboo prizes he finds on the same row. That will result in a payout of whatever value these symbols carry – up to 1,000x – multiplied by your bet.
SHINOBI BONUS:
Hit 3, 4, or 5 Scatter symbols to gain entry to this feature which takes place on a 5x5 playing area. Only shinobi, bamboo prizes, and event symbols will be present (I’ll explain the latter in a minute).
You’ll see at least one diminutive, white-haired ninja slashing the crap out of bamboo for as long as he is active. I say this because he starts with 3 lives and loses 1 life per spin. However, he’ll get a life back for every slashed symbol.
Bamboo prize values will double with each additional slash during this feature. At the end of this round, bamboo prize symbols can merge so that there’s only one left. This remaining symbol will have its prize value reflect the sum of all the values of the symbols before the merge.
EVENT SYMBOLS:
If a shinobi slashes one of the below symbols, it’ll trigger an event:
- Green box with eyes: Adds its value to all of the remaining bamboo prizes
- Red Oni mask: The ninja will initiate a slashing frenzy, starting from the mask’s position and heading toward the grid's edge. He’ll repeat this action until there are no more masks in view
- Shuriken (ninja throwing star): The shinobi will slash once in a direction that’s perpendicular to his position
- Dragon: Any bamboo prize that’s slashed will be slashed twice when this dragon is involved, and that happens for as long as the shinobi is active
This is the old man version of our hero and he’s pretty jacked. Golden shinobis slash in the same way as the regular ones, but they have 6 lives instead of 3. Slashed bamboo prize values are added to all remaining bamboo prizes
BUY BONUS:
Buy your way into the Free Spins round for 100x your bet.
SCATTER BOOST:
You’ll see more Scatters on the reels when this is activated. It’ll cost you 50% of your bet, for the privilege.
Performance
Just like the fabled ninja warrior, cutting through his enemies with a flick of his katana, Shinobi Spirit slot decimated the spins I sent its way with not a single problem to report.
Maximum Win
You can’t get better numbers than this: a 20,000x max multiplier, a top prize of €400,000, and you only have to bet €20 a pop to be eligible! Man, that’s fantastic!
Conclusion
I love the fact that this game is so different from the norm. And I LOVE the stats because man, you can’t beat the top prize, multiplier, and volatility levels.
The game isn’t so complicated that it’ll put newcomers off, it will appeal to mobile players, and hi-rollers have more than enough reason to try their luck, too.
Admittedly, the base game play will become quite uneventful, but at least there’s the Buy Bonus and the Scatter Boost to help things along.
If you’re still doubtful, all I will leave you with is this: 20,000x and €400,000 from a medium to high volatility game. You know what you need to do.
