Snail Race Slot Review
Yes, you read right, Snail Race. A game where Formula One meets one of the slowest creatures on earth. In a bid to race for the finish line kitted out with chequered flags and sounds expected at a race derby, these whimsical sails are on a mission to out race each other. I think what is more disturbing is the fact that snail racing is an actual event in real life (Google it) but that is a whole other story that I will gladly reserve commenting on. This fun, colourful game and it’s sound effects brings back memories of the old school Nintendo era and is packed with some great features.
Gameplay
Snail race is a 5x3 reel, 20 payline video slot powered by Booming Games software. Symbols include three snails named Bob, Max and Tom with Royal playing cards making up the rest of the symbols. There is the Game Logo Symbol that triggers the Snail Race bonus feature and a Walking Wild and Walking Wild Multiplier as well.
You can find the controls on the right hand side of the reels, there is an icon with three horizontal lines that opens up a menu. The menu has (from left to right) a History icon, Full Screen Mode icon, a Question Mark icon that gives the complete list of game rules, a Settings icon, a Information icon with the pay table and an Autospin icon. Below the menu icon is a betting icon to adjust your betting settings. At the bottom right hand corner of the reels you will fund the function buttons that include a the Spin button and a plus and minus sign to adjust your betting amount.
Features
Snail Race lacks a free spins feature but makes up for it with it’s Snail Race bonus feature and Walking Snail Wilds and Multipliers.
Unique Features
The Snail Race bonus is triggered when three Game Logo symbols are in view, once these are in place our three snail characters go shell to shell in a race against each other towards the finish line. Each of their lanes has a multiplier in it, the lowest being 10x and the highest 50x. The snail who finishes first wins and you win whatever the multiplier was in the winning snail’s lane.
Walking Snail Wilds and Multipliers occur during game play, you will notice cute little snail shell houses on the right hand side of the reels, where these wilds will appear out of, sometimes they are shy and only pop their heads out and back into the house they go. Some of them have multipliers written on their shells which will be applied to wins from them. Once a Walking Snail Wild appears on the reels it will move one position to the left for each spin until it reaches the other side of the reel where you will stop benefiting from their presence.
Performance
Despite its bizarre theme, Snail Race’s graphics are awesome with brilliant animations as well as giving each character their own personality, setting them apart. There are continuous little animations that appear on the reels throughout the game play making it interesting and fun to look at and the music adds to the entertainment. It may even deter you from the fact that it has a rather low RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. at 95.38.
Max Win
The max coin win is 600000.
Conclusion
Snail Race is for the light hearted and quirky ones out there. It will definitely put a smile on your face no matter how dark your soul is. I mean, snails that race each other, what next? But, besides all the rainbows and unicorns about the animations, there is some serious winning up for grabs. Join in the race and may the best snail win.
