Space Goonz Slot Review

Area 51 isn’t the only place on Earth that’s said to have been rife with alien activity.

A quick Google search reveals that cave paintings in Chhattisgarh, India, as well as aboriginal rock paintings found in Northern Australia, apparently show that our ancestors met some beings from outer space and decorated cave walls with their likeness.

I don’t know about all that – and my ego has taken a knock because clearly I haven’t been deemed worthy of an alien anal probe – but this is Space Goonz slot from Habanero.

Gameplay

Wow. Earlier on I reviewed a game that was so simply designed that it looked like it was slapped together in an hour. Space Goonz slot, however, gives me the impression that the team at Habanero really got into this theme in a big way.

Just look at all the stuff going on here! Each time I take a peek at this game, I see something new – it’s nuts! Good on you, Habanero – this one’s super spicy!

However… I don’t think anyone will be playing this slot on a mobile phone in portrait mode. The grid has been relegated to the top of the screen and it’s rather small. The other 2/3rds of the screen is all about the purple background, which renders mobile play pretty useless.

Flip your phone to landscape mode and it’s a perfect reflection of what you’ll see on a laptop or desktop device. The thing is, it’s super busy on a small screen so I recommend playing on a larger device.

In terms of paylines, this game boasts 1,024 ways to win, and it also offers a decent RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. of 96.65%. The max win ain’t huge (it’s €181,200) but the volatility rate is medium, so that explains that.

There are no currency restrictions on Space Goonz slot, so go crazy, you crypto and fiat players.

Features

The Wild is… how the hell do I describe this thing? It’s red and has what looks like two lenses peering in different directions. Anyhoo, the Wild replaces all other symbols.

UPGRADE FEATURE:

Land 2 or more Wilds simultaneously and a random high pay symbol will be chosen. A higher-value pay symbol will then replace this symbol – does that make sense?

FREE SPINS:

The number of Wilds you land at the same time will determine how many Free Spins you get:

3 Wilds = 10 Free Spins
4 Wilds = 20 Free Spins
5 Wilds = 50 Free Spins

The Upgrade feature also works here, so a random high-paying symbol will be upgraded with every Free Spin round, and it can also be re-triggered.

I must point out that it took ages before I cracked the Free Spins round. Maybe it’s just me, but it seemed to take an eternity.

Performance

Aliens are supposed to have superior technology, right? Well, maybe these weird critters applied their knowledge to Space Goonz slot coz things went super smoothly.

I played on a couple of devices, and also used Safari and Chrome – there was no difference between any of these options so you do you.

Maximum Win

Start laying bets at any amount from €0.20 to €50. You’ll need to be at the latter if you wanna score the €181,200 max win. You’ll also need the help of the 3,624x multiplier. But I believe in you – you can do it!

Conclusion

There’s a bit of a disparity between the hectic design of this game and the lack of features. And the design also doesn’t translate well to smaller devices.

Is that reason enough to write Space Goonz slot off? No, not really. It’s based on a solid platform so if you’re not put off by the things I’ve mentioned, then I say: go for it.
