Spinions X-mas Party Slot Review
What do you get when you combine a bunch of white powder and wide-eyed, grinning faces? Spinions X-Mas Party slot, of course!
The Minions film was launched in 2015 and had a budget of $74 million. It managed to rake in a staggering $1.159 billion at the box office, so let’s see if these yella fellas can apply that Midas touch to Quickspin’s festive offering.
Gameplay
Now this looks like a Christmas-themed game I can get into! We’ve got our Minion-type homies bopping and jiving which gives this game a sense of energy and upbeat positivity – I like!
The easy-going vibe belies the fact that this game comes with a high volatility. Thankfully, the RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. is a decent 96.18% and the bet limits are generous, too. They start at €0.05 and go all the way up to €100.
When it comes to symbols, the highest-paying one is the champagne bottle that looks like Santa’s beard is hugging it. The roast chicken and glasses on a bell are next, followed by the glitter ball and gingerbread man.
Looking at this game on a mobile phone in vertical mode, the grid is relinquished to a third of the screen’s real estate (at the top). Below it are Christmas decorations and a lot of empty space. In other words, don’t play it like this.
When held horizontally, the game looks terrific. Those bold, prominent symbols really come into their own here and make it easy to play on the go.
Okay, so it all looks great from the outside. Let’s look at what’s under the hood to see what makes this game tick.
Features
Our first symbol is the Spinion Wild. As you’d expect, it substitutes for every other symbol save the Bonus Scatter.
If you happen to grab 2 or more of these Wilds during a single spin, you’ll set off the Spinions Sticky Wild Respins. The Wilds will stay put for the respin and if you land an additional one, then you’ll trigger another respin.
This can go on until you don’t land a new Wild, so the potential is there to really rack up a bunch of Wilds as you merrily chug along.
The other symbol you’ll see is the Bonus Scatter and this makes an appearance on reels 1, 3, and 5. If you land 3 or more of these, you’ll be awarded no less than 10 Free Spins. During the Free Spins round, the Spinion Wilds are sticky.
Performance
I tested this sucker out on a bunch of devices and used different browsers. Happily, it proved uneventful and the game delivered flawlessly.
Max Win
While it’s not the most significant multiplier in the world – at 1,876x – the top prize you can pull with this is still a very, very decent €187,600.
Conclusion
I really enjoyed playing this game – everything about it is entertaining. Sure, the features aren’t the most amazing ones you’ll ever come across but that’s OK – they seem to fit in with the game. I don’t know if including progressive Jackpots or such would actually work.
It’s well put together and a great option if you wanna rock a slot on the go using a mobile device. Yep, I’d say this one’s definitely worth having a go at.
