Stallion Strike Power Play Slot Review

Rocky Balboa (or Sylvester Stallone as we know him) wasn’t the first person to have been called the Italian Stallion. The headband-wearing actor shares that moniker with the likes of football player Johnny Musso, wrestler J.T. Smith, and porn star Rocco Siffredi among others.

Being one of the tougher stallions on that list, it might come as a surprise that Rocky/Sly was almost beaten to death by Dolf Lundgren while they were filming Rocky IV. You see, Sly wanted things to look real and asked Dolf to throw proper punches.

Turns out that Dolf hit Sly so hard in the chest, the Italian’s heart smashed into his ribcage and caused swelling that required him to rest for 8 days in ICU!

While I’m hoping that Stallion Strike Power Play slot from Playtech packs a punch, let’s hope it’s not the type to burst the old ticker!

Gameplay

If you’re looking for a pretty game, Stallion Strike Power Play slot ain’t it. It’s got this airbrushed vibe that just looks old school, but not particularly cool, if you catch my drift.

The symbols are made up of a bunch of creatures, and while you might expect that these would all be horses, they ain’t. They’re actually raptors, save for the namesake Stallion, which is the highest-paying symbol of them all.

The Wild is a diamond, and it replaces all symbols other than the horseshoe Bonus symbol.

Regarding paylines, we’ve got up to 15,625 ways to win. There’s a medium volatility rate at play here, so the €161,960 max win is in keeping with my expectations.

The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
is variable, starting at 93.51% and heading north to 96.50%, because of the Power Zones feature I’ll mention a little later.

In keeping with the old-school visuals of this game, the only currency that’s accepted is fiat.

Features

FREE SPINS:

Landing 3 or more Bonus symbols will trigger the Free Spins feature, as well as the Mega Spins. The number of Bonus symbols you land will determine how many spins you get:

3 Bonus symbols = 12 Spins
4 Bonus symbols = 18 Spins
5 Bonus symbols = 25 Spins
6 Bonus symbols = 50 Spins

Triggering Bonus symbols also help to create Power Zones (which I’ll get to in a sec). Mega Spins are triggered after the Free Spins round, and during this time, all symbols within a Power Zone will be turned into the same random symbol.

POWER ZONES:

Power Zones connect with each other, both horizontally and vertically. Landing a charged symbol (these look like they’ve been electrified) within a Power Zone will transform all symbols to the same type, which means a greater chance of winning.

Performance

As this isn’t an overly complicated game, Stallion Strike Power Play slot had no issues delivering the goods while I was testing it.

I tried it on my iPhone and MacBook Pro (haters gonna hate), as well as on Safari and Chrome. In all instances, it played perfectly and there were no glitches.

Maximum Win

Set your bets to €20 (that’s the highest) and bring in the 8,098x multiplier – that will be enough to clinch the €161,960 max win. If your pockets ain’t that deep, then fear not: you can start betting from as little as €0.20.

Conclusion

Eh, this wasn’t one of my favorites, I must admit. It’s not an exciting game, nor is it particularly attractive. It’s not a game I’d suggest for mobile play, either.

The screen looks busy, and while the symbols are discernible in portrait mode, it’s still a less-than-stellar experience.

What it does have going for it is the Free Spins feature, which could see you clinch 50 of those suckers, and that’s nothing to sneeze at.

The max win is acceptable, so if you’re not too fussed about themes and design, and Free Spins are your thing, then check it out. It might just work for you.
