Sugar Rush Slot Review
Back in the Sixties, Ronald Reagan – who was campaigning for governor then – publicly expressed his love for jelly beans which helped kick the industry into high gear.
He was so besotted with the kidney-shaped sweets that he dished them out to world leaders, relied on them to help him kick his nicotine habit, and had jars of jelly beans scattered all around the White House when he became president.
If you’re as dedicated to sweet things as Ron was, then it’s time to check out Sugar Rush slot from Pragmatic Play. Just don’t tell your nutritionist I sent you.
Gameplay
Save me, Flying Spaghetti Monster, I’ve landed in Hell! And I’m sure I’ve contracted diabetes just from looking at all those sweets on the reels.
Wow, it’s like a unicorn ate a bunch of coloring-in pencils and then disgorged them on our screen. Having said that, you can’t fault Sugar Rush slot for living up to its name.
This is a cluster pays game with 7 reels, an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. of 96.5%, and a high volatility rating. That usually means a decent max win, but it’s not the case here. The grand prize of €400,00 can hardly be called “decent” – it’s phenomenal!
The grid looks really busy on my mobile phone in portrait mode. It would’ve been even worse if Pragmatic hadn’t used so much white on the reels to let the symbols breathe a bit. You can certainly play it like this, but landscape mode is better.
Finally, I need to mention that Japanese yen, Bitcoin Cash, and Tether are unfortunately not accepted in this game. The rest of the currencies are good to go.
Features
The Scatter symbol is this Kinder-egg type of thing, and you’ll see this symbol on any reel during gameplay.
TUMBLE FEATURE:
In other games, the Tumble feature is called cascading reels but the philosophy remains the same. Any symbols involved in a win disappear after payout and the empty spots are filled by new symbols. That means additional chances to score winning combos.
MULTIPLIER SPOT FEATURE:
When a winning symbol explodes, it leaves a mark on the grid that looks like a sweet wrapper. If a second symbol explodes on the same spot, a multiplier is added to that space.
Multipliers start at 2x and double each time (up to a max of 128x) that a subsequent winning symbol explodes on top of it. Sounds like that Japanese cold noodle dish. That’s all I’m saying.
Multipliers are applied to all winning combos that hit on that spot. If many multipliers are involved in a win, they’ll be added up and applied.
FREE SPINS:
Land 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 Scatters and you’ll win 10, 12, 15, 20, or 30 Free Spins, respectively, and they can be re-triggered. The marked spots and their multipliers that I mentioned earlier, will stay in place until the end of the round.
BUY FREE SPINS FEATURE:
For 100x your current bet (which is quite pricey, I might add), you can hit a bunch of Scatters that will lead to Free Spins. You’ll have an equal chance to land 3 to 7 Scatters, so there’s no guarantee of how many spins you’ll end up with.
Performance
Sweet; that’s how I’d describe the gameplay. I had no issues with buffering or glitches of any sort. I played Sugar Rush slot on a few devices and on Safari and Chrome, and it all went according to plan.
Maximum Win
The max win on this game is so sweet, you might have to see a dentist after landing this bad boy! It’s €400,000 and that comes courtesy of the 5,000x multiplier and the max bet of €80.
But don’t worry, if 80 bucks is too much for your budget, you can place lesser amounts –down to a mere €0.20.
Conclusion
Pragmatic’s whole thing with the multipliers (which also carry through from the base game to Free Spins), along with the possibility of scoring 30 Free Spins that can be re-triggered, is what this game’s all about.
Sugar Rush slot is a solid offering with its massive max win potential and great RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.. While the aesthetics aren’t to my liking, I really can’t fault the gameplay. It’s definitely worth having a go at, especially if you like your wins to be filled with sugary goodness.
